I truly enjoyed reading this story :) It really has me appreciate and sympathise with Vincent more. A very well thought out story, beautiful and quality writing. Looking at the last time you updated though,it's sad to note it may not be picked back up for any updates anytime soon :( Should you ever one day decide to continue it, I will most certainly be happy to read on this lovely story :) Thank you for sharing it!

This is one of the best written stories ever. The language you used was absolutely amazing. Loved every part of it.

I love the story. It's got alot of intensity and emotion, especially in the memories. I actually felt as though as I was a PART of Vincent. I recommend the following songs if you haven't heared of them already.
Memento Mori, EdenEcho, Solitaire, Ghost Opera and The Human Stain by Kamelot
Path To Decay, Seventh Summer by Sirenia
Strength, and Athena by Abingdon Boys School
Eramaan Viimeinen and Kuolema Tekee Taitelijan by Nightwish
Tell me if these help in any way, shape or form. -

aw...cliff hanger. *pouts...and attempts not to disturb family with weepy noises lease they think there's something wrong with me*
This is the most well thought out, albeit melancholic, story of Vincent and Lucrecia I've ever read!
Even though I haven't played the Final Fantasy games before, Vincent Valentine is one of my favorite characters in the FF world(next to Sephiroth actually).-this is courtesy of the internet and all its splendid wonders! (namely youtube and people who posts clips of scenes from the Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII and other games related to FF VII..*grins*)
Anyway, I hope you continue to update this story. The plot so far and the conversations between Vincent and Lucrecia leaves me wanting more! This pairing may be a little tragic but, well...I just wonder, would they ever have their happy ending? Uhm, in a sense that they would be able to be together again?(...in life or death...)
Also, you have a fascinating view on some topics like death, spirituality and life. I'm not particularly a religious or spiritual person per se...your story just kinda opened my mind to new perspectives on these topics, among other things.
Hmm...I think I like to recommend a song for you-its called "Come Back To Me" by David Cook..I don't know if it qualifies as a sad song but the lyrics are very meaningful. And maybe "Thinking of You" by Katy Perry..
Instrumental music..hmm...Oh! how about the piano version of Evanescence's "Good Enough"? Although I also recommend hearing the song itself, its mostly piano and violins playing so its a very soothing song... Their "Anywhere" song is great too...
I hope these songs help...good luck with the next chapter!Ü
P.S.: check out also this song...I don't know why its called Esme's Favorite but I know that's not its real title..its was composed by a Korean Pianist named Yiruma...anyway I found a good video up in youtube: /watch?vo1q079cN5QU&featurerelated OR type in Esme's favorite - piano posted by rencci and you're good to go..Ü
P.P.S.:its NOT River Flows in You...(just saying..)

Do keep updating...I'd like to see what happens next!

I found this through Ravynne Nevyrmore and her DeviantArt account, and the story is incredibly them. I definitely want more; the characters are intriguing, the writing is fantastic, and while I read I can hear the characters voices in my head like they're really speaking. Please do continue with this, as I'd love to read more, and this is definitely a cliffhanger for me!
As for songs, I can't really recommend an instrumental piece, but a song a friend and I associate with Vin/Lu is "Endlessly" by Muse. "Hopelessly I'll love you endlessly/Hopelessly I'll give you everything/But I won't give you up/I won't let you down/And I won't leave you falling/If the moment ever comes" if that doesn't tell all. :) Keep up the wonderful work, and I hope to read the next chapter soon!

One of my firsts reviews...so nervous. ; But I just HAD to review this history!
First of all, thank you for your great work and for updating it! It's so hard to find Vincent x Lucrecia fanfiction, and much harder to find one this good... I love it, really!
It's wonderful how do you portrait Vincent's feelings, this chapter was so sad... poor Vincent.
You'r searching for sad songs? Hmm, instrumental too... let's see:
-"The Sixth Station", from the Spirited Away OST. It's a really sad song (but I find it beautiful too). I love it's composer.
-"Epilogue [Relief]", from the group Apocalyptica in the Reflections album.
-"Romance", from Apocalyptica also. I think this song it's more dramatic than sad... but maybe you find it useful.
-"Any Other Name", from the American Beauty OST. I didn't like de movie too much... but this song has "something". It makes me think on goodbyes...
-"The will", from the Rurouni Kenshin Ovas OST. It has a wonderful piano version too.
-"Snow", from the Noir OST 1. Soft one.
-"Solitude by the window", also from the Noir OST 1.
Well... I don't remember right now, but I think that if I search in the ipod slowly I can find some more _
I hope you like them or at least you find some of them useful.

OMG! You updated! *squeals* It's great to know that you're going to continue this story. This fic is the most beautifully written and the most moving Vincent/Lucrecia fanfic that I've ever encountered, and seeing a new chapter totally made my day. *grins*
Once again, my heart ached for Vincent and Lucrecia so badly after reading this chapter. Their tragic love in this story is so sad yet extremely moving... Sometimes I couldn't help but wonder why Lucrecia would consider Hojo a man who deserves her love and why she married him in the first place. The way Hojo treated his wife here is absolutely repulsive and he's just an annoying jerk to me. Poor Lucrecia, I felt so bad for her when I saw her being insulted by her bad husband... And I also felt sorry for Vincent, he's such a nice person and he loves Lucrecia with all his heart, but he just can't have her.
The scene of Vincent holding a sobbing Lucrecia in his arms in this chapter is very nicely written, and all the emotions here are wonderfully described, too. Looking forward to the next update from you! No matter how long it would take, I'll always be waiting patienty for your update. Keep up the good work! :]

Um, I wrote something much longer than that. I guess it was cut off. Joy. Let me remember the rest of it. So this is for chapter 9...
Maybe if the flashbacks were written in first person and present tense we might feel more connected to them like that, but between the two options I'd much prefer if they just went back to being past tense as they were in previous chapters.
I also felt that his decision to bring his feelings to Lucrecia was a bit abrupt and could have used some explanation, especially since the previous scene told us how he had decided to just bury everything. What made him change his mind? I think it would even make more sense if these two scenes had been the same scene, as though it was his witnessing Hojo's cruel treatment of Lucrecia that made him decide to lay his feelings down before her, because obviously he loves her much more than Hojo does and would treat her much better if she chose him instead.
The other problem I have with this scene is that they're kind of acting like this is Vincent's first confession to her that he loves her, when he already blurted that out before they kissed.
Sad songs, hmm? I'm on more of a sexy song kick at the moment, so I'll have to get back to you on that. Right now-and I know this is a big LOL-"One More Try" by George Michael is on my playlist, and it's not entirely unfitting of Vincent and Lucrecia, especially your Vincent and Lucrecia. Plus, since it's an old song, I can imagine it being from "their time."
| Ravynne Nevyrmore chapter 9 . 4/11/2009
Aie, an update! *hops* _ I squealed and clapped for joy when I saw this in my mailbox. I am SO glad you're actually keeping with it!
Your VinLu moments are heartwrenching as always. All the love, passion, and pain is captured perfectly when you write them, and reading your descriptions of their interactions and thoughts of one another grips my heart more than anything other than my own musings of them ever has.
I'm a little confused about the flashbacks being written in present tense now. At first I thought Hojo or Gast was actually in the past writing about them for the first few paragraphs after that switch, lol, and it was a bit disorienting. I'm not sure if it's meant to make us feel like Vincent is reliving the moment as though it IS the present, but the frequent references to him by full first and surname break that sense of...personalness (NEW WORD.

Oh, this is beautiful. The expansion on those Crescentine moments in DC was done very well.

Hey good story HURRY UP N WRITE MORE!
| Ravynne Nevyrmore chapter 6 . 1/15/2009
Woo, nice kissing scene. :D Verrah sexy. I read it about 5 times.
On the other hand, I find it a little disorientating to read about Lucrecia being dead and in the Lifestream, since, y'know, she's not dead (or in the Lifestream, obviously). But I guess the story would lose its point if she wasn't dead in it.
Did you give up on this? I'd love to see where it's going.
