Sarutobi Hiruzen wasn't this Dumbledore-like. He made fewer pretty remarks, but he also made a lot more time for the people in his village, especially the children.

A foible that may have increased with age, of course, and the having of grandchildren, and the not being at war, but I still honestly can't see him not using any time he could make for Harry-like when he had the boy in his custody for the first few minutes of Kakashi's second test-to help him with the language, and give him all the information he needs in this alien environment. This casual neglect is exactly what Dumbledore would do, and exactly what the Sandaime wouldn't. Been bugging me.

...I seem to remember Obito knowing all about Kakashi's dad. No?

Neat work, anyway. Best crossover of these fandoms I've ever seen by a long, long way.

I really enjoyed reading this story. The things you've changed flow from one event to next in a reasonable manner. Some of the most fascinating parts involve the flashbacks at the beginning of each chapter.

Sorry I stayed up till ridiculous hours of the morning reading your fic before getting 4 hours of sleep just to head to work and then rush home to continue reading. That says something there though right?

So now that I've finished I'm going to nap and then read the sequel. Yay sequel. I have to remember to copy this fic onto my computer again too. It's so rare that even half decent crossover fics are completed I don't want to actually lose a GOOD one by accident.

I'm loving your story so far but I feel I should inform you of a technical point with the summoning skill. The reason Kakashi uses the scroll in the anime to summon is because he can use that to mass summon several dogs at once thereby skipping the step of individually performing the hand motions several times to summon each dog he wishes.

Same as the reason Naruto has never used a scroll to summon frogs because he has never needed more than one at a time.

It's a minor point however and since you explained your reasoning at the top I doubt people will mind much if you choose to leave it as is. I'll leave a better review at the end about the story as a whole.

Delightful chapter! I liked seeing Kakashi thaw in his attitude towards Harry, and the attempts between the both of them to bridge the language gap - which has been handled very nicely, by the way.

I am very pleased to finally find a original crossover.

I can't wait to see where you're going with this, though I have some slight guesses.

This is the first story that I've actually liked that have Harry growing up some place else than with his relatives. I'm biased towards Harry having and, most importantly, knowing about magic.

I'm really excited to get started on the sequel! Might take me some time to read it though, with all the schoolwork right now, but I'll be sure to leave a review at the end of it when I've finished. ;)

Hey now, I think that having at least one ninja with Potterverse spellcasting even at a very low proficiency would be very useful.

"And you can learn an attack that kills people even if they have complete bullshit "total defense" abilities or regeneration?"

Point is, even if a crosstrained wizard/ninja was absolute crap at combat, apparition alone would be sufficient to make seven years of training worthwhile. That said, it would be far more logical just to order books and have independent training.

Wow, this story really is different than other HP/Naruto crossovers. Another reason I've probably been greatly enjoying this fic is because my fav char is Kakashi. Though this is the first time I've seen Harry as Kakashi's brother, and I'm liking the idea.
