I enjoyed reading this story of yours and appreciate that you wrote it in response to a challenge from your daughter. You did well to get the elephant in where and how you did - and it really is not so far fetched. You see, the Gonzalez could have docked in Thailand for shore leave and one of the crew could have bought it in a Bangkok bazaar...we have several elephant mugs and vases from our stay in Thailand back in the 1970s.

I'm really not sure why so many female fans want to read of their heroes being hurt or maimed. You made it a part of the story and it made sense but for readers to comment on it being fun just doesn't make sense to me.

I do hope you get some new challenge for your muse and that you write a new story, although I plan to continue through your old stuff as well.

Dialog is good. You have a good handle on Gibbs and DiNozzo.

Hey. of course, it's been ages since you've written this but I believe feedback can never be too late. :) I really, really enjoyed this story. Loved the detailed case and actually the ending because in a way I'm sure it's more realistic. Somehow all those cold case they work on inbetween the active ones have to come into existence after all. Heh.

I love any story with submarines and of course any story with Gibbs. You were quite clever in developing the story and I enjoyed it immensely !
