That was very cool. I haven't played the game in ages so I can't remember Irvin's face, which makes me really guilty now after reading this, 'cause I remember Lance clearly and I can google him anyway. I find this so flawless, too bad it's hidden in this category :c The characterization is very impressive and that last line
"...he'd be all but invisible again as soon as he walked back into Lance's shadow..."

I agree 50% with where Irvin is coming from. Beneath all the royal pomp, Lance is a rich kid who has a massive sense of entitlement.

Wow. Just wow. I've been wanting to read Brigandine fanfiction for a very very long time. And to find that there's only one piece on all of FFN was kind of sad... But what a piece! I love how you chose to do a character piece and kept the subject matter simple, yet detailed. I was expecting some pretentious angst fic or lousy romance story, but you've done an excellent job showing a different side of the main character Lance all while developing the personality of a character who only got a few lines in the original game. This has to be one of the best short pieces of fanfiction I've ever read and certainly the best piece of Brigandine fanfiction to start this category. I hope to see more your works soon.

I was board one day and was comparing the top number of stories to the fewest and here are some of the stats for you. Did you know that Harry Potter has 328,874 more stories that Brigandine. Yea it was the one of the few to have just a single story. Also that Tetris ya know the game about blocks has more that Brigandine. Nothing against you personally i just found it funny that a game that has no characters has more fiction stories. Also Minesweeper... yea thats about all i have
Nice job though
