I can kinda see the drama, Harry is rescued, Sirius is kinda alive, Ron is intelligent, Hermione is self-serving and will to let her supposed bestie be manipulated and die so long as someone says it's the only way to save her.

Humor is really missing.

Not sure why it was abandoned but if you want a unique idea this is good. If you want a really great abandoned story then skip.

I find it impossible to believe that Ron is more aware and untrusting than Hermione. Sirius back from the dead, easy. Hermione not being concerned about Harry over everyone else or Ron being insightful and overly thoughtful no.

Absolutely brilliant story. As your other stories are still progressing I assume the problem is with the Muse and not RL.
Dumbasadoor dying happening a little earlier than canon shouldn't matter too much. I can see the US ministry neutering Moldy-shorts because shooting first and asking questions never is what they do...
But of course getting Harry off-world is probably the first step.

I really wish this novel was continued to completion, the whole plot and characters introduced are such a breath of fresh air that it's such an utter shame that it has ended here.

I'm so very proud of Ron for standing up to and confronting Dumbles like that, very brave of him. Did he figure all of that out on his own or did Hermione help? What about the twins? Why did Hermione remain silent? Is she afraid Dumbles will sacrifice her and her family to Voldemort? I wouldn't put it past the man! I hope she and her family flee Britain!

Heh, so Jack exposed Dudley's new career, huh? That'll put paid to Vernon and Petunia, I guess, but what about Marge?

Wait a minute, Mooney was part of the group that investigated the train, confirming that Harry HAD been there and the Harry the other kids shared a compartment with had NOT been a polyjuiced imposter. So I'm confused, whee is Mooney now?

I just got the most wonderfully disturbing visual of Jack and Janet torturing the Dursley's, together as a team. I hope Jack didn't forget dear old Marge in this revenge, along with her horrible dog that should be put down because of how she trained it! Grrrrrrrrr
