Reviews for Pantogogue |

![]() ![]() ![]() This chapter was hysterical. It made me jealous of course, I could have Draco kicked out of the story if I could, but it wouldn't make it as it is, and this is brilliant. Truly a really enjoyable chapter I have to say. The beginning was stunning to read, I like more smart people in the story. It also reminds me of Bill's funeral, which was a hard hit for me :( Daaaamn! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ohhh, how infinitely jealous Draco makes me feel :/ *pouts* I'm willing to dislike him just for the sake of it but I can't bring myself to actually do it :P Funny it had to be Severus, the only one watching. Good (and simultaneously nostalgic) to know that Harry realized this. And I think I was definitely reading too much into the "There is another thud and I resolve to walk in before something indecent happens". -_- |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was one of the chapter I had to get ready for before beginning. The three times, and now this one too. Especially the last part. I just had to stand up and do something else before reading this. I even went to find "Lily's Theme" from the last HP soundtrack just to read that last part. It's just as stunning to read as it was before, and the time before... There is just so...much into this chapter. Just too much to put into words :/ I loved it, and I loved the quite, calm epiphany Snape had. Weary and wary, accepting. They ARE particularly alike, Severus and Harry. I would go further but I would have to quote the whole chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ahhh this brings back such memories -_- Bill flashed over my eyes because...well...I couldn't help but love him but also resent him a little, it just made me feel like Severus was the rebound after him. Either, this fight made me pull on my hair :OO It was a fantastic read and I can't wait for it. I loath Dumbledore here, but it's the good kind of loathing if you know what I mean. |
![]() ![]() ![]() "You're just confused. That's a perfectly normal state of mind. When you stop being confused… when everything is perfectly clear to you… then you have a problem." Ahhh, my favorite line ever in the chapter, I would read it whole a thousand times just for this line. Everything before and after joins seamlessly for the performance of this lonely line. The insight you give to Severus makes me interpret things in a certain way. You don't outright say it, but it is there. Like the special bond they seem to build. Apparently Severus has been the only one seeing the other side of Harry, the side no one is supposed to be aware of (not to hurt their sensibilities) and I like that...privacy. As much as it is wrapped around animosity, they seem to be reaching an impasse of sorts. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The hostility is palpable in the chapter. It makes it even more sharper when reading. And I love that. I was awaiting the arrival of Ron and Hermione to the story. I think I should feel self-righteous because I always say "Don't mess with the Golden Trio", and you did mess with them here, but I just can't bring myself to care when managed so well. I just know I wouldn't be as accepting if it was another author. There is obviously still a part of me that resents that, but I know that's the bottom of subjectivity, so I try to ignore it. Harry is so...indescribable. It makes it even more eery that it comes from Snape, but I'm pretty sure you wrote certain things the way they are to show Snape sees more than everyone combined, so it does establish a grudging bond between them they are not ready to acknowledge. To the next! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I think this is the only story in which I have an almost imperceptible liking to Draco. And not even that maybe, but you write him wonderfully, even if I still think he got too much into the Snarry way of things. Alas, I can't stand him anywhere else unless I myself write him, because then I do have to think him an endearing character, given my dislike for bashing from author themselves into their stories. Obviously, this story is, again, another exception. I would write more but I'm honestly just thinking about reading the next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I, I reach a state in which I almost recite the dialogue, as if it's burnt in my head forever. This chapter was such a delicacy to read. Acute, sharp, with enough dose of detail to make it poignant, sharp, unavoidable. Such good time were those, and reading this story for the fourth time, I still feel it like it's the first time, hell, I can bask in its genius even more because English is not my first language either, and I know I'm much better at it than I was three and a half years before. The chapter even sets the mood for a darker review. Either way, I enjoyed it, everything in it. I have a soft spot for darker stories, and this has the top place, along with very few others, very, very few. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Of course I'll review. Review in my fourth time reading it but it's better late than never. I practically breath on this chapter. I enjoyed it so much. The dynamic Harry and Severus have is already explosive, or more like a bomb ticking, ready to explode...it's tense, full of energy. And I love that every single line, letter and paragraph oozes with Sev's POV. There is no omniscient line here, and the limited sight makes it even more acute, like we are really into his mind and learning along the way. Just like he did here with Harry. Still stubborn I see. I love this Severus a lot. One of my top favorites in characterizations. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I remember discovering this just a few days before it was finished, three years and a half now. Remembered the time when the number of reviews was barely an average of ten per chapter. I also remembered promising you to review every single chapter. I'm late, of course, but seeing every still reviewing either the first one of the last one, I really want to be of the few people that actually reviewed the whole story. It's going to take a while, but I don't enter school until next month, so I don't have much to do. This was one of the first Snarry I've ever read, and after reading a lot...and they are a lot, I still consider this story one of the top five in my list not just in HP fandom, but every fandom I could stumble in. Alas, this chapter was an amazing entrance, I like the raw, personal way in which you write Severus. After all this time, I still say yours is the best Severus POV story I've ever read. I don't like first person POV because most of the times it's so OOC...for everyone, but yours, again, manage to exceed expectations. Harry is delightfully in character here. Everyone thinks he is this brawny, playful clumsy boy full of love, but the reality is that JK did make him slightly dark, sarcastic and with a dry black humor that is wonderful. Again, your story basks in that and makes it better. I'm going to read the next chapter now :B |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow. there are no words for this story, besides amazing. I don't think i have ever read anything so deeply written before. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So far, I'm finding this... enchanting. (First word that popped in my head, and others refuse to come). This especially 'I am inclined to believe that leaving him in Headquarters drugged, Stunned, bound to bed and Silenced would be the safest option, but nobody (save possibly – ironically – Moody) is likely to listen to that opinion.' Made me giggle, as did a number of other parts. I'm not big on reading first person, as they are often difficult to tell who it is, but 1) you told us, and 2) I think it would be kinda hard to mistake Severus for someone else. Thanks for writing; I can't wait to read! |
![]() ![]() ![]() good story |
![]() ![]() ![]() You know, I am not one for slash most of the time. But I took a chance with this, and I am so glad that I did. This was marvelous. I think this is the most emotionally involved I've ever gotten in a piece of writing. There were times when I had to sit back for a moment and take a break from reading, just because my feelings while reading this were so intense. The whole story is just that, intense. Thank you so, so much for writing this and posting it for everyone to read. I know I will think back on it, and I know I will be re-reading it in the near future. - Flakycake |
![]() ![]() Thanks for this story - it is very good... and sad. I like your end - I can imagine happy end :-) |
