Really great and interesting story very dramatic and of course with some dark and disturbing mental health issues but hey it is a Poto FF itvs somewhat required, Raoul gets a bit annoying and Meg is a great friend who truly needs more information from her mother. Please write further on this story that would be great. *cookies for inspiration and the great work*

Oh, this story! These characters! It is all so gripping and real! They say finding love is just finding someone whose demons play well with ones own. This embodies that damage so artfully, I'm totally enchanted! It's really difficult to write mental illness correctly, and you've nailed it! I see it's been quite a while since this was updated, but if you ever do find the inspiration to add more, I will definitely be waiting! Thanks for sharing this! Wonderful work!

i'm absolutely fascinated by your take of christine as someone who gets hallucinations. it's something i haven't seen before, but you're right, it is an in-universe explanation for someone thinking it was a good idea to have the same space behind the mirror have candles in music of the night and then not have it when meg investigated. i also appreciate how vivid and creative the writing for this is. bulbous spiders, charcoal hands reaching out to grasp ankles, whispering lakes-it sticks in your mind and it's so enthralling and unsettling. i love it

This idea behind Christine is generally lovable! I was drawn to her character and the others much more because this made the story very appealing.

oh god i was enjoying this so much, until i got to the last chapter and saw it was updated in 2007. well, /fuck/. but i kind of liked it, though i suppose reading/writing about two mentally ill characters' relationship could be exhausting...? oh, and your portrayal of erik was really great! (christine, too. but i suppose anyone could write a better christine than movie!christine, as much as i like her sometimes.)

I'm sorry, I just read your profile and saw your announcement. I hope you did get your original work published, in the end. You have a lovely writing style. It's been years since that announcement though, so I was just hoping...well, I understand when you say that you don't "feel" the story anymore. I had to abandon one of my own stories that way - I stopped writing for over a year and when I got back into it, the story just doesn't come out to me anymore. Maybe you'd like to revisit the film or a stage version to revive that touch of magic. I do hope that if you decide to abandon this story properly, instead of leaving it on hiatus, you'd tell us readers, and maybe share a note or two telling us what would have happened next, or in the end? It will never compensate for the delight of reading the entire story in full, but it would be a kind of closure, if you have the time to indulge your readers.

This is an amazing what-if. I've gone through countless phanfics, combed the recs over and over, and imagine my delight when I read this - and only five chapters! Will you ever update again, and soon? It's incredible that you have not received over a hundred reviews; this is certainly worth that, and more besides. I enjoy debonair Erik but I think I prefer this side of him. I had to read this over a couple of times before I realized that Christine had a screw or two loose in her head, but it's more believable that she's a bit insane to believe in an Angel of Music at her age. And is that Meg/Raoul I see? The development is slow, but most lovely. You haven't abandoned this, have you? Do update soon, or put up some kind of announcement. I'll be hoping to see a new chapter.
