*Sigh* Sad .. and very Aya like. The interaction between Mamoru and Nagi is also great. It's a fitting prequel to Paraise Lost.I still hope to see more from Ayas energetic and strong side, he can't always stay apathic, can he?

"...So I read to myself
A chance of a lifetime to see new horizons
On the front page
A black and white picture of
The title made me think of the song so I was delighted to see, as I read the story, that it wasn't a co-incidence. Even to the umbrellas. And it worked, you fitted Aya's leaving very well to the song. A well written poignant tale - well done.

A perfect prequel for Paradise Lost. I love how Aya first protects the paper from the rain, then crumples it up and leaves it behind, but with the arch of the Empire state building and Manhattan sky line showing staring back at him. That "a chance of a lifetime" just goes straight to the heart, especially after all Aya has been through and all the protective barriers you show him attempting to fortify. You show us and make us feel so much, with just a minimum or words. Beautiful.
