| FlyingHampsterOfDoom chapter 6 . 1/20/2010
Well, this is certainly interesting. I love her complete denial/rationalization. I hope you update this soon, even though it is on hiatus.
| Hidden Relevance chapter 6 . 4/23/2009
Well drat it never went any further? That's such a shame.. this was very very well written. I can totally picture poor Rose in this situation!
| Siobhan chapter 6 . 3/19/2008
That's one of the best fanfics I've ever read. And a huge cut above most oh-dear-i've-been-sucked-into-a-story-how-shall-i-fit-in. :-)
more, pretty please? i'm sure i'm not the only one who enjoys it...
| harllett chapter 1 . 3/2/2008
I just found this, really like the first few chapters, its not often I enjoy a "modern girl in a different world" fic but I like this one!
Its been a while since you updated, hope you still have the inspiration to continue :)
| cateyes-120 chapter 6 . 1/21/2008
I really enjoy this story :-) I can't wait to see where you'll go with it!
| homeric chapter 6 . 12/13/2007
*Big smile*. I've just spent a very enjoyable time reading your fic. I usually hate "girls fall into alternate universe" stories as they tend to be very formulaic and the main characters are invariably mary sues - it's great to be proven wrong! Your writing style is enjoyable and descriptive and I really like Rose. It would be pretty freaky to suddenly land in another dimension but you portrayed Rose's reaction believably. The outlaws were all in character - I especially enjoyed your portrayal of Djaq.
Looking forward to more :)
| MyDearDelirious chapter 6 . 12/9/2007
Two more brilliant chapters to an altogether wonderful story. The bit of background info explains so much of Rose’s character, her independence, her maturity and her failure to connect with her peers all signs of someone forced to grow up before their time. Again your descriptive style makes me love and envy your work, my only grievance is that the chapters end far too quickly:P
Lots of love
| Zaedah chapter 6 . 12/9/2007
What I love is the extra step...
It wasn't just noon, it was "...bordering on mid-afternoon."
Or how John answers with "...a firmament his statements always possessed that strongly discouraged any disagreement."
You have what I would call a lively manner of writing. The kind that jumps off the page, grabs you by the collar and shoves your face into the screen for a closer look. This, I like!
| Raptor.Elephant chapter 6 . 12/9/2007
great chapter. Loved it. Updat again soon
| Angua von Uberwald chapter 6 . 12/9/2007
Jealous Much? Awh, how lovely (:
I loved the subtle beginnings of companionship between Rose and Will, so sweet and simple (:
Sorry I can't offer any constructive criticism, I'm not so good at it ): But keep up the good work (:
| XxlaxX chapter 6 . 12/9/2007
I don't get why you were so nervous; this story is excellent! Thank you! Update soon please!
| El Gringo Loco chapter 6 . 12/8/2007
Ch 5&6 I am very much enjoying this little tale. Madness, is probably as easy for a 12th century gang to accept than a lot of other possibilities. (And probaby a lot safer for Rosie as well.) But one can be glad that she's not in the sherrif's hands with him believing it. In that somewhat less enlightened age mental health treatment in those times could be rather grim.
As for time between updates. In well over half a century of following serials, print/radio/television, I've learned to appreciate the quality of the material offered far more than speed of presentation. The infinitely fickle muses will come in their own time to whomever they choose. And it is for us, their loyal followers to be patient with them.
And if one might indulge me for a moment. It delights me that this author, like many others here, is young enough to be my own grandchild. I'm delighted that another generation is able to think creatively and communicate those thoughts coherently in a socially acceptable manner. It gives me hope for the future they will one day inherit from "us ancients". And, that they, on another hopefully far more distant day, will pass to their own grandchildren and theirs.

Fantabuloso! As per usual. It doesn't matter about the long gaps between updates, just keeps us chomping at the bit for more and it is always worth the wait. I know how you're always saying how good I am at updating but I'm notoriously bad at finishing stories. Its a terrible bad habit of mine to get inspiration, get all excited and write a few chapters of a brand new story and never complete it. I get distracted!
Robin Hood was lovely tonight. Guy was actually portrayed as a good guy for once but I'm so so glad Marian never agreed to any of his marriage proposals. She had learnt that girl has. Will was heart flutteringly gorgeous as usual and he looked so cute and serious when Robin entrusted him with protecting Marian! I just wanted to hug him.
Anyhoo, enough of my mad rambling nonsense and on with the constructive critism and encouragement. Well, I have none of the former but tons of the latter.
I love Allan's 'Dinner as usual then' that made me laugh so much. You have the banter in the gang written so well. Its short and sharp and doesnt waffle on like mine.
Also, I liked the fact Will and Rose are like two peas in a quiet, serious pod. Its soo cute! I love the pairing and Robin's rather obvious matchmaking. :)
Please keep updating and take your time, I really don't mind how long it takes because its well worth it!
PS I dunno what happened to our emailing. I sent you one and then never got a reply. Maybe it did get lost. Want to start again?
| Maggie chapter 5 . 12/5/2007
Very interesting. I'm really looking forward to see where this goes from here. I wonder what the gang will think if/when Rose tells them about herself? Other than that she's insane, of course. I wonder if there's anything interesting left back at that tree? I'd also like to hear a bit more of the problems that were hinted at back in now-England, but I'm sure that will come in time.
Stylistically, this is well done. The dialogue flows well and you capture that medieval sense better than the very modern show does. The language problems between the two parties are amusing and you seem to keep the gang true to character even as you're changing their style of language. I'm eagerly awaiting chapter 6.
