This poem is alright in my eyes. Some parts weren't to my taste but I enjoyed the paragraphs with 'I watched from afar'. Also, no offense intended, I would have chosen 'I watched from afar' or a derivative of that as a title for this poem. It's a bit more poetic in my opinion. Either way, I still enjoyed the poem and thought it described Snape and his love fairly well. Good work.

I can barely see the screen to write this.
That was beautiful! You did a fantastic job, and it doesn't matter that it's free-verse. The emotion is more important than form. (I write tons of poetry).
I often find myself wondering how Snape reacted (both externally and internaly) when he found out that Lily and James were dating, their marriage, and then their son. To say that "the Potter kid won" is probably the most concise way of portraying how much he had lost. Poor Sev, breaks my heart all over again.
My absolute favourite stanza is
'I remember you, Lily,
When I gaze upon him,
And I hate myself anew.'
You've got a way of saying so much with so few words.
