wild wolf free17 chapter 2 . 1/7/2010 Aww, protective!House is a nice flavor. Well done! |
charmedgrl4ever chapter 2 . 12/20/2008 konban wa Hello again! "They're keeping him overnight for observation. Cuddy did her thing and got him a private room." Like the "Cuddy did her thing." Yes, Cuddy does have 'her thing,' doesn't she? I guess being administrator gives her such priveleges. (I have NO clue how to spell that word. :P) "he'd probably like to see a friendly face. Or at least a familiar face" *laughs* Cute. Very cute. I love Cameron, and you have very accurately captured her personality with House. At least in the later seasons - which is when I liked her best, when she was no longer afraid of what House thought - when she finally 'got over' her crush. (Sometimes I wonder if she actually did or if she hides it better now.) "If he can see, you mean," Hm, looks like House won't get over that so easily. I hope Wilson does not have permanent damage. "Go tell Wilson his damsel is distressed but fine." *laughs* Such a perfectly HOUSE line! Kudos. "House's office didn't have a couch, an oversight he'd never bothered to fix, because he had a perfectly good couch — and bed — at home. Wilson, however, was frequently unwelcome in his own home, or just between homes, so he had a very comfortable couch in his office." Hm, what an interesting way to explain that. I like it. :) Again, kudos. You are very good at this whole "writing" thing. *chuckles* I love how you portray the characters. "She'd always had an unfortunate tendency to lose her sense of humour when one of her department heads was hospitalized." And unfortunately, she seems to have a lot of experience in that area. House - twice, right? The gunshot and the leg, of course. Is this before or after he was dumped in a hospital bed that first time in the fourth season. With the electric thing, right? So yeah - that's after because you made reference to it in the first chapter. So tis would be the fourth time something like this happened to her. Wow, poor Cuddy. What is AMA? "As if any self-respecting fraternity would take Wilson," *grins* "Wilson is the Henry II of medicine. He could have conquered Europe, but he had women in his life." *cracks up* That is a BRILLIANT line! "Bring porn," he shouted after her. "Or just wear that low-cut black silk blouse with a push-up bra. It's the same thing." Again, so House. *grin* "Looking at Wilson now was like looking at his whiteboard after the symptoms had been erased, but without the satisfaction of getting the diagnosis right." Nice imagery! Loved it! Such a House metaphor. You really capture him so well. "The last time I gave in, you nearly died. I promised myself I would never let that happen again." When was this? I don't remember it... Ha ha - cute ending. Lovely. Just lovely. :) Well, now I'm just hooked. Ha det -Shan- |
charmedgrl4ever chapter 1 . 12/20/2008 konban wa *squeals in pleasure* I like this, I like this, I like this. Somebody suggested that I read some of your stuff - can't remember who it was. The person's avatar was a raven, though. Um... blackraven? No, blackmare? That sounds about right. Suggested I check out some of what you have written. So - off that trusted recommendation, here I am! - - - That was one thing House missed about having a team. It would take the newbies months to develop the kind of connections he needed to keep track of Wilson's love life. "Who is Wilson sleeping with?" he asked without preamble. "No one, as far as I've heard," Chase replied without missing a beat. "Though he took Cuddy to the symphony last week." - - - I think it is hysterical that (a) House thinks his old team keeps tabs on Wilson's love life and (b) that House's old team actually DOES. *chuckles* Very cute. - - - "It was much easier to baby-sit Wilson when Wilson thought he was the babysitter." I loved this line. Very... I don't know - something I would actually expect. - - - "It would be easier to keep tabs on him if he were a little more stupid. But then House wouldn't care enough to bother." Again, very true. If Wilson were dumb enough to be incapable of evading House, House would find him boring. It is precisely this annoyance that keeps Wilson interesting. - - - "a pool of blood spreading like a halo around his dark hair." Nice imagery. :) - - - "and House wondered what the hell was taking the paramedics" I think that sounds a bit awkward. It may sound better "what was taking the paramedics so long." - - - Killian. - The name suits him very well. KILLian. Very well. - - - "He pulled out his cell phone and speed-dialled Cameron. He didn't trust any of the other trained monkeys in the ER." Love the "trained monkeys" line. *laughs* All right, next chapter. Ha det -Shan- |

Miyth chapter 2 . 1/20/2008 Oh wow that was brilliant. I loved this! You portrayed the characters perfectly and the plot was wonderful. -Miyth |
Laheara chapter 2 . 12/13/2007 This was a really great story. I love how you got just the right amount of caring for House. He's not an emotional person but he does care about his people, especially Wilson. The concern shown when burst into the hotel room and then in realizing Wilson set himself up to get hurt were great. Calling him names was so House also. Poor Wilson must have a serious complex to think the only good he can do is by saving everyone else, what about saving himself? (hugs Wilson) Nice job on all the medical jargon too, it's nice to read a story where people at least try to get my world right. :) |
Lutralutra chapter 2 . 11/12/2007 I love this. Good to see House caring about someone. :) You get House's snide remarks down to a tee. And everything else, too. Great writing, great job. |
DXRULES103 chapter 2 . 11/5/2007 House closed his eyes and wondered when Wilson would stop atoning for things that other people did. "Don't put this back on me," he said. "This is one mess that's not my fault." But he knew absolution couldn't come without forgiveness, and that was one of a legion of things he had never been able to give Wilson. But Wilson was his responsibility, one of the few he took seriously. He had never been very good at keeping Wilson safe or keeping him happy, but he'd keep trying. He still had a chance to get it right. All the above is so true. House cannot give forgiveness. That's just who he is. But people don't seem to understand that. He doesn't forget either. He just pushes everything deep inside. There is no forgive and forget with him. I absolutely love this story. I hope you continue! |
DXRULES103 chapter 1 . 11/5/2007 I really loved this. You had everything brilliantly perfect. This was what happened when he didn't keep an eye on Wilson. This was what happened when he didn't hold up his end of the friendship. This perfect! |
NotTheEllieYou'reLookingFor chapter 2 . 11/5/2007 this is awesome! only wilson would be that stupid. keep writing, it's wonderful! -E |
SupernaturalGeek chapter 2 . 11/5/2007 That was really good. It had just the right amount of care & concern on House's part without being out of character. And it made total sense Wilson would do something like that, to protect someone else and to try to make up for the things he blames himself for. Thanks for sharing :) |
wrytingtyme chapter 1 . 11/4/2007 Great story, caring till it hurts (or kills him) is very much Wilson. Love how House figures out that Wilson actually set himself up. |
