Reviews for Hell of a Way to Spend a Thanksgiving |

![]() ![]() ![]() Brilliant! Thank you so much for writing and sharing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this story. I had to look around to find it to reread and realized I apparently never left a review. I figured I needed to remedy that. John being impatient with Rodney was very real, especially for the situation. The stuff about the homeopathic remedy was cool as well. Just wanted to say how much I like this little holiday story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story! Nice plot. |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a delightful bit of teamy Shep & Rodney Whumpage! Nicely done. Thanks, MA |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome as always, hon. And yeah, I prefer homeopathy whenever I can use it. It's hard to believe how few people really know what the genesis of modern medicine is. *hugs* -}- |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was GREAT! Thanks for writing it. The visuals you painted for us were stunningly vivid, right down to the footprints of blood on the gateroom floor. *shudder* I liked the ones with the falling leaves best. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story! Poor Sheppard. Nothing's worse than being hurt and finding out someone else is hurt worse! It totally trumps any pain you might have. LOL. Oh,and poor Rodney too. He's a trooper though. NT |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice touch with the homeopathy. When in Pegasus/Rome, do as the Romans, eh? I liked the pacing and feel of the story. You really didn't let on anything was wrong with Rodney until almost he figured it out himself. What a kudo for that! Excellent! |
![]() ![]() LOVED IT! Awesome job on the Rodney whumping *g* Poor guy! Love John's guilt eating away at him hehe Awesome job, thanks! |
![]() ![]() ![]() A great little piece, with perfect characterization-and a lovely description of the snowy leaves! A lovely little present to remind me of what I'm thankful for... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, a nice Thanksgiving whump. Goes especially well with leftover turkey and pumpkin pie! Thanks for a lovely, heartfelt story. The homeopathic remedies were a surprise. I'm not sure Keller would actually use them, but it is always nice to see alternative medicine included in stories. Giving Sheppard morphine is the usual way to go but introducing a different type of treatment like that is perfect for sci-fi, even though homeopathy has been in use for a long, long time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lovely and very Thanksgiving-y. The rain we had Wednesday brought down almost all of our leaves. Your snowy, swirly leaves sound much nicer than all the ones that must be eliminated from the yard and patio this weekend! I like how you write the team, especially John and Rodney. The muddled and misunderstood apology was so spot on! You also always manage to convey the underlying affection and respect they have for one another. Thanks for sharing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for such a holiday gift. Nice little story to help digest the leftovers! Although, I'm sitting here in shirt sleeves and pedal pushers...the acorns dropping everywhere from the water oaks...and the squirrels scampering in the 80 degree weather. ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great fic. Poor Rodney. I'm glad he's going to be ok. Loved teh characterizations. |
![]() ![]() ![]() No snow here; in fact it was unusually warm yesterday. Colder today but still no snow. Yet. Now I'd like it to hold off until 3 December. Anyway, I enjoyed this short but very well written story. |
