| mugglehugger chapter 3 . 5/19/2012
They were all so good, but I think I liked Narcissa best, and the distinction between Cissy and Narcissa. Thanks for writing this :)
| Windchimes of Maple chapter 3 . 5/16/2011
So cold, so cruel, so heart wrenching.
The sober, collected attitude of the whole thing makes it more emotional.
You're very talented, just so you know...
| Jemennuie chapter 3 . 1/9/2011
Lovely, lovely collection of one-shots, one of my favs I'd say. I especially like the last one with the parenthetical comments, and the idea as a whole is creative too (although I still don't quite understand why Bella killed her father). Anyways, good job!
| Expecting Rain chapter 3 . 8/19/2009
All three chapters are beautiful, but my favorite is Andromeda's, with the repetition of "this is Narcissa's idea of vengeance, or perhaps of charity" and the ending of Narcissa's.
| AuburnGraces28 chapter 3 . 7/19/2009
this is a really good look at the sisters. You caught Bellatrix so well, with all of her emotions standing out strongly.
| Maia May chapter 3 . 7/16/2009
That - the whole story - was absolutely brilliant. A very interesting situation and three fantastic, thrilling characters. I loved Bella's cruel, sharp behaviour (oh, how cruel and sad, how simply Bella to say "Everything"); I loved how Andromeda still cared and cried and was incredibly hurt; I loved Narcissa, the young one, who had to take over the responsibility, who was still half a child, who was 'Cissy', after all.
| deleted2012 chapter 3 . 5/19/2009
i loved cissy here (:
| hrhrionastar chapter 3 . 5/11/2009
This is really good! I like how Narcissa and Cissy have different reactions-only it's really the same reaction, just expressed differently. And Andromeda and Bellatrix can't deal, so Narcissa has to. That feels very real. You don't make Bellatrix seem one-dimensional, either, which is rare, and definitely good.
| Youko-Kokuryuuha chapter 3 . 11/21/2008
This was a bit abstract, and a curious route to go, but I think you pulled it off well. I like the approach you took, by presenting the event from each sister's point of view; I think viewing a piece of the whole from each help to but the emotional puzzle together.
I'd be lying if I said that Bella portion hadn't concerned me, Andy's hadn't teared me up, and Cissy's hadn't made me choke a bit. I'd be lying terribly.
Wonderful prose, cupid. Favorited.
| Rosebud811 chapter 3 . 1/5/2008
And Narcissa (as well as Cissy) is spot on as well. Great story.
| Rosebud811 chapter 2 . 1/5/2008
Absolutely true to Andromeda's character. Spectacular. "And then she screams" Excellent writing.
| Rosebud811 chapter 1 . 1/5/2008
Now THAT is the start of a story! I can't wait to see where you go from here.
| An-Jelly-Ca chapter 3 . 1/1/2008
Aunt Wallburga is a little shaken, but only Narcissa can tell. Idly, she wonders where Andromeda is, and if she'd come to the funeral. But then, she won't be welcome and surely she'd bring that awful Mudblood and their disgusting daughter, so there's no point in even mentioning it to her. Let her discover the facts on her own. After all, she was the one who cut ties with them.
(In this moment, Cissy thinks Black tradition is awfully cruel.)
The funeral director arrives at noon, and Narcissa explains how her sister found her Father dead upon waking this morning (she has no idea when Bellatrix found him, nor what he was doing at Bellatrix's house, nor how he died. She lies to make up the difference.) She explains that he was sick for some time, and while, of course, they were all heartbroken, it was better this way.
Fantastic chapter, fantastic story, I absolutely loved it!
| Jellyjade Bean chapter 3 . 12/28/2007
Such happy, joyful Christmas presents for your friends...
If I were your friend I'd love a present like this. You are undeniably the best fanfiction author I've read since Rurouni Star.
| Frayed Misfit chapter 3 . 12/19/2007
The fact that you make Cissa the practical one is so truthful, I believe that she is the one that is able to hold it all together, even if it is just fake decorum and lies.
You write the Black sisters so well, although I think that Bella was my favourite, because there was just so much anger and insanity in it, and the imagery of blood and rain was perfect. I can't get that one out of my head.
