Out of all the fanfics I've read so far, this is my favorite. By a longshot. Most importantly, it gives meaning for both Simon's wandering and for Viral to live. Kinda fills in those painful gaps. Thanks a bunch! Write some more of these, eh? 3

The 'immortality is bad' trope is near-universal in all forms of fiction, constantly portrayed as a terrible burden to the poor soul inflicted with it. Trust Simon to swiftly crush those thoughts and turn a supposedly awful curse into the greatest of gifts.

A powerful, meaningful short that captured the characters and the situation wonderfully, succintly covering an expansive topic as well as giving a sense of closure to the relationship between Viral and Simon. Inevitably, I was pleased.

M... Beautiful mood. It's very depressing to see a defeated Viral. Made me think of the dream sequence where Viral has a family (one of the best parts of the series, IMHO. I loved the "who the hell do you think I am?" too. Boota going to Viral is also very touching. Bravo.
