I knew I shouldn't have worried about Mark, the Judge wouldn't let him down, would he? Loved the character development having definitely known some Mrs. Wilmingtons in my time, liked Lila...and you must admit the judge has a unique way to solve problems...good story

Good story! I especially liked how Hardcastle and McCormick are slowly starting to realize that they actually do care for one another. Lila was cool, too. I would have loved to have seen her husband's face when she talked to him about McCormick. ;-) Thanks for sharing.

I remember this, too, and am so glad to see it up here on Great stuff, lots of characterization, some good banter. Favorites lines have to be the Hardcastle sympathy and the gripe remark. Please post more _soon_!

This is another perfect story where Milt and Mark come to realize how much the both mean to the other.

It's a shame it had to take such a life and death situation to get them both to realize it.

Also you can't hold hardcase back from anything when his mind is really made up on something especially as important as this situation was he definantly wouldn't wait for the cops before charging was a cop once he knows what he is goes in with not thinking of his own safety,but McCormick's safety.

What a great Friendship and a Family they have become.

Yay! I remember this from Michelle's site and I enjoyed it a lot, then and now. Action, derring-do, an Uzi, great O.C.s, personal charm under trying circumstances, and a decent helping of h/c (well, the Hardcastle approach to comfort, which you capture perfectly and which is part of the man's irascible charm).

I hope this is a sign of more to come!
