Very good job - I love it when the relationship between Zuko and Katara is portrayed realistically (with attention to how it actually exists in canon, as opposed to the constant cooked-up "fall-in-love instantly" scenario you see with a lot of Zutara) and you've done that very well. Excellent - it's gone in my C2. :) Keep up the good work!

Look, I ain't lying when I say that this is a work of art. I agree with one of the reviews here: It gets better the more you read it. It clearly shows what could happen after The Western Air Temple.

You have a good introduction and conclusion. The introduction is essential to the story: a good introduction gains good points. Yours clearly did. The plot line was amazing.

And the whole family thing: Wow. Just wow.

The reason I am head over heels in love with the first segment:

It's a beautiful introduction to the entire oneshot. Your words, honestly, give foreshadowment (mental note: check to see if 'foreshadowment' is an actual word) to what's to come. Which is PERFECT for this oneshot. The way you described Katara in the third paragraph was spot on. I could clearly picture her doing every single movement (I almost laughed because, dude, she was like a Micky D's fry cook or something xD). And then there was Zuko. Zuko-who was confused and enthralled and attentive to her every movement. It just pasted a smile on my face, dearie.

PART TW0 (in which I gush with mucho love):

It was sad, truthfully (but a good sad, nonetheless). I felt for Sokka and Katara, an impressive accomplishment, because...just because, really. They lost their mom and Katara is acting like a mom and...it was just sad. And a bit tense.

YESH. ANGST.

The third section (dun, dun, dun):

Again he began to sputter desperately, “Please, just give me a chance!”

Possibly my most favorite line in the entire story. I love desperate!redemptioncraving!Zuko, and, the way he drastically changed the subject (helping her up all the way to asking for a second-third?-chance), practically made my day. And then Katara...wow. Just wow.

It was deep. And I loved it.

Katara is motherly. Toph is happier (and gorgeous). And Zuko is...awe-stricken.
