I dunno if you're still around or not, but this was quite possibly the best John/Rodney friendship story I've ever read. You absolutely NAILED it. I love how it was structured, I love how they both had such negative first impressions of each other. I love that John realized he was happier with friends in Atlantis than he'd been alone on Earth. I love how I could so easily hear their voices in my head as I read and how seamlessly it worked with the episodes. WELL done!

Brilliant story. I can't imagine how many episodes you might have had to of rewatched for all those details. Beautifully researched an characterised.

Wow that was really great. I loved how you went through both events that we saw on the show and others not seen but who's to say they didn't happen.

Anyway, I also like the emotions you made Sheppard have, especially when he realized how close he was to missing all of it. Very human.

LOVE IT! XD Absolutely adorable, absolutely believable portrayal of the evolution of John & Rodney's friendship. I particularly enjoyed the two moments when John realized that he would have been more surprised if his teammates weren't there when he was in the infirmary, and when he realized he was miserable before coming to the Pegasus Galaxy. Just a really great story. _

I love that John had written Rodney off totally when they first met. The nice progression of events marking a change in their relationship and opinions is nicely done, never settling too long on any one event. Then, at the end, there is the realisation of what good friends they have become to each other and how they very nearly missed out on all that and the family they have built for themselves in Atlantis.

whoopsie... me again... well it seems like i just keep stumbling over your fics. And everytime i read one i have to review! and i have to admit i'm one of those a**hole readers reading but not writing,but your stories always force me to write.

So just for the record. I absolutely adore your rodney sheppard fics they are just zmrslina! :) now i know it's written czech by the way! whoopsie.

Rereading this and wanted to say thank you for one of my favorite Stargate Atlantis stories. I love the way you show the gradual development of the friendship between John and Rodney and how John's perception of Rodney and the rest of the expedition changes over time. This is absolutely lovely and one of the best comfort fics stashed on my hard drive.
