| Guest chapter 11 . 9/1/2012
A most intrigueing story! I was glued to my computer for the last six hours. Poor Faramir. I especially liked how Faramir built his new life on the ship, it was told very gently and with great skill.

This was a great story that held my interest from start to finish. I love your attention to detail and the twists and surprises in the plot kept me always wanting to read more.
The final chapter was excellent bringing the story to a great conclusion, the fact that it was posted on my bithday was an unexpected, but welcome, extra present.
Thank you so much for such an wonderful story.

Most Excellent! I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of this tale. But, but.. Does it really have to be the end? sigh! :(
Oh! That's our Ranger! Sneaking out of his room without the healer's notice. Or did he?
Cirdan knows all that goes on in his home. "“Well, to begin with I would recommend that you take a walk to the end of the harbour wall. . .I often find that a midnight stroll under the stars helps me to see problems more clearly and you might find the answers you seek,” The Elf lord said cryptically."
"He does not make idle suggestions. . .perhaps we should do as he suggests,.." Hmm! Yes, a stroll down to the end of the harbour wall would be nice. Good idea to follow Cirdan's suggestion, Beregond. ;) :)
"“If you are cold then return to your beds and leave me in peace. . .i do not need nursemaids!”" Ah! That sounds like the "old" Faramir!
"You are my Captain, my Prince, you are my FRIEND!" YAY! Hopefully Damrod can jolt Fara back to himself!
Lovely scene as Damrod and Beregond finally get Fara to go with them back to his villa. I can see them sitting up late into the night talking and reminiscening.
I just knew that someone would recognise something from one of Fara's paintings or sketches. Most excellent! Too bad the painting had not been Minas Tirith to make Cirdan's life easier. ;)
I love Fara's stubborn nature. It made him a survivor for sure.
And finally the wait is over as Aragorn and Legolas are re-united with their friend, Fara.
Nice to see how easily Aragorn broke through that barrier of blankness that Fara had built around himself as protection.
A great scene of comfort and rebuilding a closeness with Fara follows the initial meeting.
Sadly, time does fly by and Aragorn must return to his guests at Lake Evendim. Of course, with all Fara has gone through recently with his returning memories, he needs more time to gain his self worth and to heal his torn mind.
"“Gentlemen,” Lord Cirdan interjected, “it is clear that this matter will not be resolved whilst emotions are running so high. May I suggest that we leave this discussion for now. . .I am sure a solution to your dilemma will present itself.”
Yay! Cirdan has his secrets, does he not! snicker! Probably something to do with a certain blonde shieldmaiden from Rohan, I'll bet! :) :)
Right on! ;) "“Lady Èowyn arrived at first light this morning.."
I just had to add this line; "Lord Cirdan aimed a fond but exasperated frown at the young Elf, one that reminded him much of his father. “The impatience of these mortals is rubbing off on you, Greenleaf!” he commented wryly." snicker! :) :)
"She must not expect too much too soon.”" Hmm! In this case, I am hoping that Cirdan is WRONG! ;)
"He knew her. Recognised her deep within his soul." "“Èowyn!” he gasped. “Èowyn!” he was weeping as he knelt before her, her hands clasped tightly in his. As the emotions welled up inside him he dropped his head onto her knees and, as Legolas slipped away, the only sounds to disturb the tranquillity of the garden were the anguish of his tears and the soothing litany of her endearments." MOST EXCELLENT! sniffles!
"“He is not yet ready to return, Estel. Give him your blessing to remain here and to make his peace with all that he has endured. Let him heal and be whole.” Ok! sigh! Legolas does talk sense and it probably would be best if Fara was totally healed first before returning to his "old world".
"“You have it all planned,” Estel complained." Poor Aragorn! He so wants to be part of his friend's healing, but he is too close and cannot see Fara's true needs of the moment.
But a I love Legolas' sureness that Fara will make it home some day. I love the idea of Eowyn staying in the Havens to be close to Fara. They have a special bond with each other that is needed more than ever.
Another year has passed! A sweet and lovely little wedding between Fara and Eowyn has finally happened. :) :)
I especially love Eowyn's words to her beloved husband; "She sobered, taking his face between her hands. “You have come back to me, beyond hope or expectation. . .that to me is beyond price. I would not exchange what I have now for worldly riches or honours,” She assured him earnestly, cementing her words with a passionate kiss." Most excellent!
YAY! I was hoping that you would write a scene showing the crew of the Grey Swan again. Especially with Fara returned to Gondor! You couldn't just pass them up after all they had done to aid the nearly dead "Min" and taking him under their collective wings. :) :)
A Most Excellent scene as Fara recognizes so many people in the audience on the quay, including Zerbah and Tat! Yay! :) :)
The ending was beautiful and well done with Fara and Eowyn returning home! Aww! And they have a son, Elboron! Sweet! :) :)
You know I have loved this tale and surely hope there is more Faramir tales waiting to be told!
Most assuredly awaiting your next tale! :) :) push push, hint
hint! I'll miss those weekly updates now. Return to us soon, please!

Thank you so much for the wonderful update! Chapter 9 and especially 10 are so different from the previous ones: they are full of dialogs! We were all so trapped in Min’s mute world till the revelation in actions! Couldn’t wait to read more! Thank you for writing this great story!
