This was awesome!

I wish there was a sequel! Oh man, I really loved it! Severus is such a wimpy kid, the poor thing. Not weak, mind you, considering his pain tolerance, but these ninjas just proves he shouldn't rely on magic too much. It'll be fun to see him punch Potter in the nose from time to time though. I'm glad his bark is still pretty venomous at least.. and the saving a whole village thing was pretty cool too.. And Orochimaru and Kabuto! Hah! They should give him his own bingo book. XD

The village children being massacred sucked though..

Anyway, being friends with Hinata and Lee was a nice touch too. The awesomest rejects would take over the world.. LOL. I agree with Iruka's assessment too, he and Naruto would be quite explosive. XD

Ah, this read was such great fun.

If he ever did train as a spy from Konoha, it would be utterly wasted working for the Order.. XD

Anyway, thanks for sharing!

This was fun to read. If the muse speaks to you, I'd love to someday read a follow up where Severus leaves the wizarding world after school, forgets them, and joins the misfit shinobi family. :)

Just found this and really enjoyed it. I like the implication that Severus picked up his 'grey' view of morality from the shinobis. Would love another story/oneshot of an older Snape interacting with them again- either post war (if, SURPRISE Severus actually survived Nagini) or at least post him killing Dumbledore. I'd love to see the more open side of grown up Snape as you've set him up here, only able to relax around people not of the wizarding world- being comforted by Iruka perhaps. Or Itachi coming accross Snape as himself would be interesting too. But whether you continue on with this or ot, thank you anyway for yur time and effort; this story was great!

This story is brilliant! So amazing! Honestly it made me cry! The ending was perfect. You know if J.L Rowling and Masashi.. Err.. Naruto creator would have a crossover this is my suggestion. This could be one of the reason to why Severus wanted to be a spy. Brilliant .. Absolutely! And oh if you can make a story about Sasuke pretending to be Severus please and what was the mission? One reason why I would not believe Dumbledore's presumption that Eileen lied, and that the one to kill Eileen while Severus was in the neighbouring room was Marcus, not Tobias: Tobias was dead before Severus reached home, because Severus found his coat, with watch in it.

Ah, somehow, Severus'd managed to survive for two summers on the streets of London and the surrounding towns.

~ They were dangerous. Despite the girl's cheery smile and the two boy's quiet attitudes, they were dangerous.

Why are they here? They are on a mission; who ordered it, and why?

I agree with Severus. Dumbledore ignores Severus. The only person who takes interest in Severus's life to such extent is Marcus. Marcus could have kidnapped Severus like that... If he thought he could get away with it. However, these ninja apparently aren't employed by Marcus, or they wouldn't claim to not know about Severus's uncle.

It's delightful that even if wand is vulnerability, when comparing magic and chakra, potion is still a strength, because there is no way to store a jutsu inside an object.

~ You're perfect. A loner with no close friends who tries to keep out of sight. You go out of your way to avoid attention. Exactly who we've been looking for.

So, he isn't targeted because he is Snape. He is targeted because he is a young wizard.

~ All we're going to do is take you away for a couple of weeks.

So, they are going to return him. What is their mission?

I hope they return his things to him after the mission. However, I don't want them to return him back after the mission. First, how will he know what was going on while Sasuke was at Hogwarts? Second, how will Severus escape his uncle's clutches? I only hope that Sasuke will destroy the uncle, and leave illusion of Severus being dead, so that Severus will be able to stay in the hidden village.

~ And no magic to save me. No wand. No potions. Nothing.

There still grow many plants, even if there are differences. Potions may be your defence, and of the shinobi weakness.

The potion is truly brilliant.

~ For the first time in a very long time, Severus smiled. He couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present.

Unfortunately. Tobias is dead, and when Prince's name is carried by Marcus, Severus wants nothing common with him.

Why will not she fight for herself?

I am surprised that Severus throws such a temper tantrum. But then, he has been under pressure for a long time, and his bag and watch were taken away, and kidnapping is shocking. By the way, why all the shinobi speak English?

~ You aren't Japanese. Sensei. Kun. San. Sama. All part of the Japanese language, but you don't look Japanese. You speak perfect English.

~ "You can smell all of that? The salt?" Umino-sensei asked in disbelief.

[Chuckling] Shinobi! You move so quickly, with excellent balance, and yet you are surprised at his sense of smell?

~ Everyone had chakra - it was a proven fact - Lee just couldn't use his.

Is Lee a wizard? What's different with him?

~ "Why? No shinobi has magic. We couldn't use it."

But Lee did use it.

~ "Well… I suppose we'll just have to take a look at this marvelous book, won't we?"

I would have thought that Severus already started learning Occlumency...

~ "And as to opening his mouth, I'm sure he could hold his own in an argument with Tsunade-sama, herself."

It has many precious recipes. Fortunately, potions require magic to work, but the book will still give Orochimaru ideas.

Fortunately, the book is returned to Severus.

~ Orochimaru had never woken from the slumber Severus had put him in and now, he never would.

Hope so. He might have some protection against Death, like Voldemort.

~ Accidental magic… Severus had never been so glad for it.

Considering Kabuto's anger, Orochimaru is truly dead.

~ You're welcome back, you know.

~ He would see Iruka's class and get news of how Gaara's people were faring. Maybe, he would even take a few of Iruka's classes. True that he couldn't really see himself as a full shinobi, but perhaps with Iruka's training, he would be a spy.
