REALLY GREAT STORY. I would type some long, elaborate, glorifying review, but I just can't come up with the words. It was just a really awesome story. :)
| ziggy.uk chapter 16 . 2/9/2013
Great final chapter to an awesome story. Finally the boys are healing, though not sprung the hospital yet, and Sam has had his chick flick moment, which Dean diffused brilliantly, ending with the quip about front row seats to the circus! Great little talk between Sam and Doc too, and between Dean and Bobby, you were really so inside their heads throughout this amazing story.
Awesome to know that the story was inspired by a real urban legend, that is so cool.
Love your writing and loved this story from first word to last.
| ziggy.uk chapter 15 . 2/8/2013
Have to feel sad for Mary that Agnes couldn't let go of the past and ask for forgiveness before they both moved on. And should have guessed that Sam would have taken the lock of hair out of the locket to be on the safe side and make it easier to burn. Also loved the twist that it was Agnes who had committed the murder, although accidentally but it was her son Thomas who insisted on taking the blame for it. And what an evil cliffy to leave this chapter on, Doc about to thrust a needle into Dean's chest to relieve the pressure of air and Sam passing out!
| ziggy.uk chapter 14 . 2/8/2013
OMG just when you think they are near to reuniting Mary with Agnes, Dean is hit by a blast of cold energy and the locket falls through a crack in the planks of wood! Just hope that the size of the locket has caught on something and it has not fallen into the river. And poor Sam and Dean, can't catch a break with Agnes now adding to their injuries! I think Doc might well handcuff them to their hospital beds when all this is over!
| ziggy.uk chapter 13 . 2/8/2013
Think after this the doc may be regretting letting Sam and Dean go with Bobby but Sam is the only one who knows where Mary's remains are and there is no way Dean would let him go without him. Just hope that they don't meet Corrigan's spirit on their way to get to Mary's remains but that is a bit optimistic!
| ziggy.uk chapter 12 . 2/8/2013
Gotta love Dean loopy on morphine! At least Bobby saved his backside by getting back to him and dispersing Corrigan again! And now both boys are safe in the hospital recovering! Hmm, Bobby's news that they have to get rid of Agnes before the next night isn't good news, and Dean and Sam are in no fit state to leave the hospital and help! And wonder if Dean still has Mary's locket in his pocket as, if so, there is some of Agnes' hair in there and they will have to get rid of that too to get rid of her, hope Sam remembers what Mary told him!
| ziggy.uk chapter 11 . 2/7/2013
OMG another cliffy, you really put your readers, as well as the boys, through it! Kudos for Dean for actually getting in the helicopter given his fear but not surprised as there was no way he was sitting out the search for his little brother! Not surprised either Sam wanted them to help Mary before being airlifted out but it looks like it might have to wait for the moment ... and just hope that Bobby has eyes in the back of his head to zap the spirit of Patrick Corrigan again as he is now after Dean!
| ziggy.uk chapter 10 . 2/7/2013
Gosh, another evil cliffy and things are not looking good for Sam but I would think Mary's spirit with her caring nature would return, despite her fear of the man, as she wouldn't want him to kill Sam. Just hope the helicopter with Bobby, Dean and Doc, plus the rescue crew aren't far away!
| ziggy.uk chapter 9 . 2/7/2013
Had just worked out that the spirit on the bridge must be Mary's mum as she tried to stop the man from taking Mary and that was confirmed by her pic in the locket. Sam is definitely not short of determination in trying to help Mary as he is running on more than empty now but still wants to give her peace. Poignant moment him finding Mary's bones and her spirit self seeing them.
Just knew nothing would keep Dean from leaving the hospital and finding Sam, and if the Doc had not agreed to him coming with them he would have gone under his own steam and that would have been worse. Interested to see Dean in a helicopter whilst conscious though!
| ziggy.uk chapter 8 . 2/7/2013
Yay, Dean is finally conscious for more than a couple of minutes but in typical Winchester fashion he is asking about his brother! And now it looks like Dean has dredged up something important after Doc told him what he said when he briefly came to in the ICU. And Sam, in a pretty dire situation himself, is concerned with helping Mary to move on and get peace. But if Sam doesn't get some liquid soon, dehydration is going to be added to his list of woes.
| ziggy.uk chapter 7 . 2/6/2013
Interesting chapter. It seems that Dean is more than a figment of Sam's imagination as the Doc said his brain activity is that of a conscious person so does Dean know Sam is in trouble and is reaching out to him telepathically or is it some out-of-body experience? And if Mary didn't kill her attacker why is he playing cat-and-mouse with her in the forest, could the second guy have killed him?
Loving the originality of this story and all the drama and twists and turns.
| ziggy.uk chapter 6 . 2/6/2013
Yay, Dean is stabalised, and Bobby and Doc are out looking for Sam! Loved Sam imagining Dean again and having a conversation with him, and the imaginary Dean being the logical side of Sam's brain. Poor Sammy though as spirit number 3 is bound to make a return appearance!
| ziggy.uk chapter 5 . 2/6/2013
Wow, you like your evil cliffys ... ending this chapter with Dean drowning! At least some luck is on their side, well at least Dean's with Doc able to identify him which helped keep the cops somewhat at bay though they had to ask questions as he was rescued. Thank goodness Doc rang Bobby when she couldn't get hold of Sam and he arrived with a good enough cover story. But, oh dear, poor Sam, being flung into a tree which has probably given him another concussion of top of what he has already got! Interesting the two spirits and their back story, have to feel sorry for Mary, she was obviously murdered by this man and even in death, can't escape him or the forest.
| ziggy.uk chapter 4 . 2/5/2013
OMG it's hard to know which brother is worse off, the paramedics have had to use the defibrillator on Dean twice but at least he is rescued and is getting medical help. Meanwhile Sam is still concussed, with one working eye and that's giving him fuzzy vision, plus he can barely walk because of his knee and he's stuck in the forest for the night, with only a tube of mints and no water! And the spirit has appeared again! Could so imagine Sam having a conversation with Dean in his head, filling him in on what has happened and reasoning things out.
| ziggy.uk chapter 3 . 2/5/2013
Wow, you are putting both boys through the mill! Jason comes to Dean's aid, gets him breathing and Penny starts to pull them out but Dean slips out of the jacket Jason is holding and is pulled down the river by the current! And poor Sam, now with a sprained knee and another injury to his head from the spirit to add to his catalogue of woes! At this rate it will take a miracle to reunite the Winchesters!
