| goldfishfordinner chapter 1 . 1/29/2014
Well, this was even better than the other. I have to say I hate the unhappiness of it all, and the unhappiness of the actual book, but this story is exactly what I feel actually would have happened after the Emerald City break-up. I like your story, and your writing; you are excellent at capturing emotion and articulating it. But don't think I don't I hate it all, because I do. I wanted Gelphie so badly. :(
| fantastickle chapter 1 . 4/9/2009
whoa that might have been the saddest thing i've ever read :(
you're an amazing author :)
| noooooooooo chapter 1 . 11/29/2008

| Drop Your Oboe chapter 1 . 10/16/2008
Oh, my goodness, I haven't reviewed this. And I know I read it forever ago, and I absolutely love it, and I can't believe I never said anything, my apologies.
So basically, this is amazing with a gigantic capital A, probably an old-fashioned illuminated one. Incredibly sweet- Glinda's so desperate and she always will be, I guess, and I know it's nearly too much to bear as much for her as it is for me, after reading this. That wasn't in vain at all.
No idea why it's been sitting unnoticed on my favorites list all that time. Shame on me.
| surfergirl11 chapter 1 . 7/14/2008
This is absolutely amazing! I am in love with it! I was crying with Glinda because her pain felt so real! I was immersed in this story and I felt like I was standing there in the room with them. You are an incredible writer! You should really consider it as a career.
| TheConscienceThing chapter 1 . 4/25/2008
Just beautiful. *sighs* Lotsa angst. Glinda is my favorite, and I love finding these stories that actually portray her as... capable(?) I guess is the best word, and you do it wonderfully. I don't think that made much sense, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that you've created stories so different from the majority, and that that is a very good thing. Loved it, and I look forward to reading more by you!
| bulale chapter 1 . 2/3/2008
This is a really great fic and i cant beleive its your first wicked one (you must write more)! You just have a way of really make me, the reader, feel her emotion and i wont lie - i was welling up and i could feel my heart clenching in my chest- it was beautifull tragic.
Thank you (adds to favs)
| Da Bao chapter 1 . 1/22/2008
Oh... This story made me sob. It's truly heart rending, and I do wish you would continue this, making another chapter with Elphaba and ending on a lighter note. I beg of you! This fic was just so very good. You're wonderful and this was most wonderfully written and shall now be added to my favourites. I will look forward to your future writings.
| TheWarrior12 chapter 1 . 1/21/2008
This was a powerful piece of work here. Awesome job!
Well done for your first Gelphie. :)
| Ginger Glinda the Tangerine chapter 1 . 1/21/2008
Wow, so good. I have no words. Just, wow.
| MysticMeg chapter 1 . 1/21/2008
Hey, I don't really read Wicked stories any more (no need to fuel my obsession even further), but sometimes I can't resist the word 'Gelphie'. And here we have a lovely heartfelt piece, positively dripping with tears and sentiment. I mean that in a good way, it's hard to write grief believably without descending into cloying self-indulgence. But you managed it with quiet finesse.
| Lexi Theory chapter 1 . 1/21/2008
This has seriously not been in vain! If anything you have somehow brought my imaginations of Glinda's wedding day to life in perfect form! Honestly, no joke, I envisioned this exactly. Of course your version is far more fleshed out and full of wonderful descriptions! I think Nimby said it best with stunning. It was.
And I know this is Glinda-centric but I really enjoyed the turn of focus from her to Crope. It really brought this whole thing together. Seeing his view on their relationship and especially him pushing thoughts of Tibbett away was perfect. It's so easy to bring Glinda back to that place and time so to see it from another characters perspective was fresh. Thank you!
I can't think of anything coherent to add! Oh! I remember! I believe my favorite section of this was where you wrote about Glinda's morning walks. Something about that was truly brilliant. When I can think something other than the word 'awesome' I will perhaps let you know. :)
And I have written yet another ridiculously long rambling review. So to end this before I look like a complete fool, I just have to say I don't know how you went from light-hearted to this but whatever you did, keep doing it!
| JavaPoodle chapter 1 . 1/21/2008
Wow. That was...sad and beautiful and touching and wow. Your first Gelphie? You've got to be kidding...
| GelNimbus chapter 1 . 1/21/2008
I had to review this. It is STUNNING. This was brilliantly written and very true to Maguire's style, yet I can see your own flair for words thrown into the mix as well. Yes the plot itself was a tad depressing and I found myself hoping that there would be some semblance of a reprieve for dear Glinda however you flawlessly convey emotion with your powerful choice of words. I have never been a fan of 'angst' fics but this is making me change my mind. I'm rendered dumbstruck, I cannot even find the words to describe how much I enjoyed this story. I will certainly read more of your work, and hopefully pick up a lesson or two in imagery and diction from you!
And of course I've added this to my favorites! :D
