Great new chapter!

He forgot to take off his boots. Poor Harry.
| Irishdanceringrulz1776 chapter 27 . 9/25/2013
Will Harry go into the Chamber? And I think that his Patronus probably has changed... I don't really know what it has changed to, but I think that a lion would be entertaining...
Also, after his birthday, is Harry going to have his magic back? I think that you should add another twist to it, if that's the case... You should make it be so strong, so suddenly, that Severus decides that Lily, knowing Harry would be strong, magically, had placed charms on him that sort of pulled his magic away from him... And they've been acting crazy lately...
And then you could have Harry have a problem with control of his magic, which would be interesting, although he could then maybe learn wandless magic at this point...

Great story. I find myself wishing very much that Professor Snape does not die in this version and that Hadrian and Harry can be friends with Draco. Keep up the good work!

The way I'm reading this, Hermione is putting Draco up to interrogating/entrapping Harry, somehow. I don't think Draco could have been so accurate in pin-pointing the things Harry would get the most upset about, without some insider info. Ha! Snape stole the book from under McGonagall's nose! And then he made Harry and Draco look for it! That's hilarious! The whole patronus thing was so well done. It wasn't done well at all in canon, with the whole moping Tonks garbage. Here it makes actual sense. You did that in a couple of places, actually, like questioning why Sirius was able to inherit anything if he was disowned. I like that you're using canon things, but going deeper and trying to explain why something might work that way. Oh, and the patronus is a really good point, because how in hell will Harry explain PRONGS popping out of HADRIAN'S wand? He either better get a new patronus or pray he never runs into any Dementors. Lupin drinking makes sense. The way he acted the night Harry arrived at Grimmauld Place is pretty close to how he acted toward Harry in this chapter. Drinking apparently makes him mean. Maybe takes away his ability to put on his "mild mannered" persona. Well, that's my review. I thought this chapter was really interesting, though I'm kind of longing for more "action" in the story. More danger or something. The chapters with Fudge were really tense and you write action scenes well. Harry needs to go break into the Chamber of Secrets and find out the basilisk laid three hundred eggs or something!

I somehow missed the alert for this chapter and didn't realize the story had been updated until I got the one for chapter 27. You always pack your chapters with so many interesting ideas, and I never know what you're going to pull into the story later on. I don't even know where to start. I tried to make a list of all the stuff you introduced just in this chapter, and it made it realize how complex the plot is. There's thestrals going missing, Hagrid and some Hogwarts students at Beauxbatons, a goblin rebellion, needing a goblin-made object and then the idea of Magical Metallurgy (surely the two things are related, since the only goblin-made objects we know are made of metal), the Ministry still going after Harry, a Founder artifact gone missing, the Skele-Gro potion, the DADA jinx, and a bunch of other stuff! Whew! I'm really curious about how much of this you're just throwing out there for "decoration" so to speak, and how much is actually going to be important to the plot somehow. I like the tension between Harry and Draco. Draco has changed a lot, but it somehow works.

Oh lovely lovely angst! Lupin is being so horrible to Harry, my heart breaks for him. And Snape is being not so horrible, which keeps the angst from being overwhelming. I like how Harry listens, almost trance-like, to Snape when he's lecturing. I can feel the build up and I wonder how long it will be before Harry snaps and does something drastic, which he has to cuz he's Harry. I wonder how that last horcrux in Harry's scar will come into play... will Harry ever see his friends again as himself... will Ron and Lupin get the smack upside the head they greatly need... what will happen when Harry finds out the truth about himself... So many questions! Sucha great fic!

Great story . Thanks for the update!
| Poppy784 chapter 27 . 9/23/2013
I really feel for Harry in this fic. He's so painfully alone :( or, he thinks he is, with no say in his present situation. I want to shake Lupin so hard! Looking forward to the next chapter!
| jazzy2may chapter 26 . 9/22/2013
awesome update! looking forward to the next one. :D
| Guest chapter 26 . 9/19/2013
Poor Harry he sounds so down and like no one really cares what happens to him. I hope that Snape comes around and start showing him he cares. Also what is wrong with Lupin? Can't wait for update.

Interesting story... Convoluted plot... Complex characters...!
Harry always seems to be 2-3 steps away from reality...
both by design and by omission. Painful & frustrating.
I am stunned by how vicious the Ministry is acting in all directions.
Yet, I am eager to read more!
Thank you for your excellent wit & prose.

As always, love it! I'm getting anxious for Harry to get on better terms with Snape and Lupin-he seems so sad. :-( also am excited to learn why Harry's mind seems to be processing things so differently-very curious! Can't wait for more!
