"Kent scoffed, embarrassed, and he covered his mouth with his black hand." Your description of a black person is very weird. We know he is black. That "black hand" description doesn't sit right me. I hope you are black from the way you are describing him.

But other than that, this book is pretty good.

All the things meld so beautifully in this work: their forced reliance in extreme circumstances growing into deep sincere love, their heartfelt promise, 'you are the only person allowed to kill me', the tension of the Kira case previously in the back of their minds but now coming to forefront THE CONFLICT

Rachel's endearing attempts to speak Japanese always brings a smile to my face. Corey is so precocious and just so pure. I love both the girls. (wanna hug them)
And I sincerely honor Kent and his Sacrifice. I hope he goes to heaven. I'm crying Again for him...idk just let him meet Corey, Rachel, Light and L for the last time to say a proper goodbye and some hugs and the inevitable angst...I know it isn't possible ughhhh this world is unfair

This chapter induces a kind of nostalgia from me even as I wasn't physically there with the characters it feels like I was thanks to your excellent writing skills. I feel like I'm leaving the place and it's time to say goodbye to Corey and Rachel soon (I Don't Want to!). I have become so attached to each character (coming from someone who generally doesn't enjoy OC's even if they're relevant to the plot...BUT this story just makes me care so much about them) I don't wish to part with anyone:(

It's sweet as we have Light(in canon) making promises like "As long as we are chained together Ryuzaki, won't we die together. I haven't forgotten my promise." strangely reminiscent of marriage vows (btw have you read lux-mea-lex's LawLight metas they're awesome) and here they really get an opportunity to keep it.

Corey is so adorable (ugghh why did you have to kill Kent tho?) and Rachel is being so supportive to everyone here.
L admitting to not being able to kill Light even if he's Kira. L & Light acknowledging Rachel and Corey as their family. How do you do it? How do you create each moment precious enough to dwell on even months later reading this fanfic? I want my heart back, this story has completely captured it. I can't believe your talent, Author-san. This AU is truly wonderful. It gives such hope I mean LawLight pushing through and finding Love despite the horrid circumstances, the 'found family' dynamic this fic inspired optimism in me in my darkest moments of life. Thank You for this lovely story.

This line is so tear inducing because I can imagine them saying that to each other. It's very in-character, I applaud you Author-san this is perfection.

The smut was Nice and the disclaimer was straight up hilarious.
