This is so good! Yeah, it did get a little dark there, but I'm sure that you'll be back to humor in no time! Even if Ed does tell them how alchemy works, I doubt Danzo will be able to do it, for reasons ranging from "Ed is a genius and it's hard for smart people to explain things that they Just Get" to "the science and technology of the two worlds are so different that Danzo just might not have the basic scientific knowledge necessary to anything with it" and more. And now that I think of it, that poor family has very little chance of surviving unless someone else finds them all first - Villains have a bad habit of not believing the protagonists, even when they're telling the truth, because it sounds too easy or too impossible or whatever. I'll just start mourning now so that if they do survive it's a pleasant surprise, and if they don't then I've already done most of the hard part. How are you, BTW? Are you alive?
