You know, Sasuke, if you weren't so busy antagonizing Ed (and vice versa), you might find that he's actually exactly what you're looking for: an unaffiliated, impartial party who won't turn you in to Konoha, and would probably even help you leave if you agreed to take him with you...

Every now and then I come back to this fanfic and it's still one of my favourites of all time. I think you nailed the personalities of all the characters and I love that you thought realistically about how a military village would react to someone like Ed. It makes for a world that feels complex and realistic. I also love the use of not just the main characters but a range of side characters (both canon and original) because again, it really adds to the sense that this is a real world filled with real people. My favourite addition is probably Kaemon and his family because I think the impact of Orochimaru's attack on the civilians was glossed over quite a lot in the anime so I like that it's something that's given attention here.

hah. hell yeah. This'll prolly get him into deeper shite, but it's great to see him doing something about his situation instead of just sitting around.

I love how you portrayed the Village's system regarding "unknowns", but since Edward's the MC here, I'm freaking pissed at how he's being dealt with. Granted, he's not that phased, or he just had a lot of patience, it's still annoys me. For him, I'm pissed, can't wait for the TI to give him the go.

I have never watched Naruto, but this entire fic is great, simply by exposing Edward Elric to a bunch of stupid ninjas. I know this fic is dead (in that its been more than 6 years since it's been updated), but I can still appreciate it.

Got to re-read the story and I love it. 10/10
