Wow. This was so poetic - and really, truly beautiful, even in its briefness. I've honestly never read a Tenten-centric story before because I've frankly never been very interested in Team Gai as a whole - but since I've been binging all your Naruto fics for a while now, I decided to give this one a shot. And it was BEAUTIFUL. I loved the message, the subtle, gentle ways you defined their characters, and all the quiet moments. I'm generally not a fan of shorter works because they tend not to be developed, but I have absolutely no regrets on this one. It was gorgeous. I could picture every scene in my head like a movie. The image of the whole world burning and crashing down around them while Neji and Tenten lose themselves in each other is just so... powerful. You have such a beautiful way of conveying emotions in such few words. Thank you so, so much for this.

You said at the top there that this story is for every teenage girl. You have absolutely succeeded. I related to so much of what you wrote, even if my situation isn't the same. The stargazing with Gai and what he said mad em tear up a little, because that was just what I needed someone to say to me right now. It was also the first time that I've ever really thought of Gai as anything beyond the green-jumpsuit-guy-who-looks-like-Lee-and-is-obses sed-with-youth-and-challenging-Kakashi. You are an amazing writer and it takes a lot of skill to pull off something like what I just read. You did this perfectly. Thank you for a beautiful story.

So I never write reviews but this story really struck a chord with me so I'm going to. I love all the messages this story encompasses and I love Tenten's coming of age here. I'm only just now starting to realize what she did in this story and all I wish was that I could have realized everything I'm realizing about life earlier than I have. Thanks so much for this story - it was a gem! Hopefully others get your message and know to live life to the fullest and not take what they have for granted! Keep writing!

I think this is the first one-shot that's getting added to my favorites. SWEET. The apocalyptical-indifference vibe was totally there and obvious. Like uhh...hm...the only thing that comes to mind is Zombieland, but I have no clue why. Don't take offense if that, well, offends you. Sorry if it does!

That's how I felt throughout this all.

It was exhilarating and for someone like moi - who is an avid fan of anything remotely apocalyptic - you've made the past apocalyptic stories I've read pale in comparison. And lemme tell ya, I'm quite anal about the materials I read.

But I am not surprised at all, especially when I saw your username. It's been a while since a fanfic. has managed to stir any kind of emotion in me. I know this was supposed to be somewhat... sad but you've managed to just bring out all sorts of emotions, of hope and recklessness in particular.

This story is one of those inspirational ones; I truly felt like I wanted to bring your 'message' to fruition but it's just so damn hard when it feels like you're taking on society by yourself. The rules which bind us keep the world in order and yet in return, our freedom (of nearly everything) is taken. How ironic that it takes some kind of disaster to make it okay for once.. to lose control and just do what you want to do. How sad & funny the world works indeed.

Goodness that made me smile like a fool. The ending was fantastic. Optimistic and giddy in the face of death. The tone of voice you portrayed Tenten was perfect for a teenage girl. Just a little sad over Kakashi's loss and Naruto's death, but hey, they made bittersweet foils for the story.

First story of yours that I have read. It is also my first story that I have read from Tenten's POV. I have never been a big fan of Tenten; however, I enjoyed this one-shot immensely. Keep up the good writing in the future. I'm looking forward to reading more of your literary works.
