If you are still involved at all in fan fiction, I just wanted to rave about this story! Wonderful work.

I love this! Please, please update!
| jenbenyen chapter 16 . 12/22/2011
I love Cuddy asking House to be her doctor. He would definitely catch anything other doctors would miss, even if it isn’t his specialty. I also like how he dropped it casually into the conversation, like she had already told him. It think him being the doctor is especially fitting because he’s the father. I think he’s be a lot more uncomfortable and angst-y about it if he knew he was the father right now, but he’s able to be there and be comforting for Cuddy this way. I do hope that he eventually finds out.
I’m so sad that this is over! I’m going to try not to make you feel guilty for not continuing it (even though I really want to), but I want to let you know that I really, really enjoyed this, and I’m grateful to you for writing and posting this. If you ever decide to continue this, well, just know that you’ll have a lot of ecstatic fans waiting.

I think it’s good how you balance out the sweet times with Chase and discussion of genocide and war. One without the other might be a bit much, even though I have to admit I prefer the Chase parts. :) You’re giving extra depth to House, and definitely adding more stuff that wasn’t revealed in Veritas. I think you got House’s attitude about DWB spot-on, considering what he went through. Great job!

I love Chase panicking then being invited to House’s house. My favorite line was “the whole world would shrink to just contain the two of them, side by side…” I feel like Chase is really developing his relationship with House, with the guitar and the shoes. I can see this helping Chase as well as House, and how they’re both benefiting from the relationship.
Very good job building the suspense up for the Doctors Without Borders part. Excellent writing, excellent job at keeping people in character, and excellent story!

I just melted at the scene with House and Chase. I love stories that have them together (in a father-son sort of way), and this is one of the best I’ve found. Just everything is perfect: House’s nickname for Chase, Chase learning how to speak House’s language of what he understands, the importance of physical contact, all of it. It’s a huge gift that House gave Chase Stella, but it makes so much sense in light of what we learned in Veritas about how House feels about his ducklings. I don’t know if we’ve ever seen House teaching like this before, but it makes sense that he could be gentler when teaching the basics, instead of trying to break people out of old thinking patterns like he usually is. This kind of reminded me of the relationship between House and Alvie (the rapper) when he was in the asylum, specifically the scene where Alvie was having trouble rapping on stage and House came and helped him out. It was somewhat of a different situation, but both show similar sides of House. Thank you!

I just recently realized that I haven’t reviewed the last few chapters in this story that I love, so I decided to enjoy rereading it and give you your well-deserved praise for the last few chapters as well.
I really liked the interaction between Wilson and Foreman when they were talking about the “prank”. I’m put out with the authors of the show that they made what Wilson did seem okay, and even funny. Like you can do occasionally, you went a little over-the-top with your defense of House in Foreman’s speech. It’s not that I don’t agree with it, it’s that I don’t really think Foreman would say all that in defense of House. Even though in your story he’s changed his view of House a lot, it’s not really in his character to say that for anyone.
I liked what you said about the nurses, and it sounds like something that might happen. I know at one point they showed an antagonistic relationship between him and the clinic nurse, but I think that was mostly an extension of his relationship with Cuddy, and not representative of his relationship with nurses in general.
Overall, great chapter. I’m looking forward to reading the next one (again)!

I love this story and I totally hope you update soon. I love the Chase/House father moments. And the realness of it all. And the House/Sherlock comparisons.

He reminds me of FanFiction!Sherlock!

I am upset. This story is quite clearly abandoned. It was last updated years before I even discovered fanfiction. You know why this is so upsetting? Because your story is SO FRICKIN' GOOD! I love it. I love the way you write House. And everyone else. And I bloody adore the way you write this whole Chase-House mentor-ship thing. It makes me want to hug something for a long time. The whole House Chronicles thing has stuck with me for a long time. Someone needs to write it all down! And since you're making Cameron do it I now like her a whole lot more. Plus, you are the first person I have ever come across who has also watched A Bit of Fry and Laurie! And who searches for clips of Hugh Laurie singing on YouTube. And I missed you completely!
Do you know that I first read this story and it's prequel a few months ago, then completely forgot who wrote it and had to go on an intrepid E-quest to find it again? I searched for 'House truth' (because I figured since the first story involved truth serum it would be a good bet that it'd be in the summary) then combed through the 3 pages of results and still didn't find it. Then I went searching through the dozens of authors on my alert list. That is how good your stories are! They make me devote some of the last precious hours of summer holidays I have left to searching for them! I realise how whiny I sound, but I'm trying to give you a compliment the only way I know how. By rambling. On and on and on.
(And on) So, I'm fairly resigned to the fact that this story will never be finished. But maybe, just maybe, you might still get an email about this review and decide to read it and know that I adored your work. Completely and utterly. Declaring House bipolar was just perfect. The man has frequent fits of mania and depression, and no ones put it together. If it isn't canon, it should be. Though, perhaps its best not to go into what's happening in canon these days. Kutner's few appearances were brilliant too (Were you as bummed as I was when he died?). I have this weird curiosity about Authors who don't finish their work, and don't even come back to mark it abandoned. Maybe you've even forgotten all about it, but I never will. You have a fangirl, even if she's 3 years late in the game.
Best of luck in your intriguing Fanfiction-free life,
