Siriusmunchkin chapter 29 . 3/23/2010 So many wonderful things are happening today. Meeting Angela and Ben was a fun time. Loved Angela's story about Edward's first day at Forks High. And Bella becomng so happy about the wedding is making him the happiest man in existence. The restaurant sounds wonderful. I do love food. The progress they are making as a couple is one of the things I wish could have happened in the Saga. It would have ended up 20 books long. Which would have been okay with me. The more to read the better. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 28 . 3/23/2010 Fascinating. That's not an adequate description of your writing, but it's the best I can do at the moment. Just love reading your story and will definitely be looking at the others. Theatre is wonderful. Love going and loved working on shows. It's extremely rewarding both ways. Like Edward's solution to the scary pervert. The Japanese Garden sounded like a lot of fun. The fortunes were very definitely Fate letting them know what was in store and to be careful not to lose their way. All the revelations to each other through the day are helping each see a little more what and why the other thinks. This can only lead to a better future. Angela and Ben in San Francisco is an interesting twist. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 27 . 3/23/2010 Always love reading Edward's POV. Bella really doesn't have any sense of self-preservation. It's my guess that's because no one before Edward ever really showed her how irreplaceable she would be. How valuable her life is. Renee and Charlie love her but neither seem to have ever put it into words or actions. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 26 . 3/23/2010 Took a look at the pictures. They were all wonderful. And I guessed right that time, the guy showed up trying to kidnap Bella. She really does seem to attract anything and everything that could possibly do harm to someone. It is really frustrating when you can't surprise the one you love. And then to have him lecture you about not listening when he tells you there is danger and you walk right into it without knowing? I would have been crying too. And he still doesn't understand why she feels so inadequate. Things will be much better when she's a vampire. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 25 . 3/23/2010 Nice chapter. Driving along the coast in CA is fun. Love all kinds of museums and could wander through them for hours or days. Got the feeling that blonde guy is going to show up again and Edward is going to make him wish he hadn't. He sounds like a very nasty man. Hope I'm wrong up him showing up. If he's trying to catch Bella away from Edward he's going to have a very long wait. |
LisaH78 chapter 1 . 3/23/2010 Oh my god! this is just brilliant ;o) i couldnt read it a chapter at a time on screen - it hurt my eyes - so i printed it all off and read it in a couple of sittings at home ;o) my friend now wants to borrow it - but am not sure i want to let it out of my sight! ;o) please hurry up and write some more chapters ;o) i was a little skeptical at first when i stumbled onto this site but it was short lived. I love how it just seems to fit right in and is a must for any fan - hopefully there will be plenty more to come onthis and hopefully other addiitonl stories ;o) thank you |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 24 . 3/23/2010 Very revealing. I'm going to have to check out Ms Meyers stuff. I've never really paid attention to the background an author might reveal. It'd just make me wish they would write another book with all the stuff they left out. The new communication between Bella and Edward is what I wish could have been done in the books. Not possible, but I always want to know every word of every conversation characters ever have. So easy to visualize them talking like this. Discovering many of the things they've wondered about each other, and always imagined the worst. Some of it could be described as the worst, but needed to be said and understood if they are ever to truly trust one another with their hearts. Most people don't try and understand each other like they've been doing. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 23 . 3/22/2010 Guess I got that one wrong. My first thought was Jacob had found them and was going to try and get rid of Edward. My second was Tanya checking out the human girl. Didn't think about it being a real wild animal. And Edward can't blame Alice if he told her not to check on them during the weekend. San Francisco should be fun. The only place I've been in San Francisco is the airport. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 22 . 3/22/2010 A perfectly wonderful chapter. It was so right the way you wrote all the small talks they had. The resentment and frustration on both their parts was something I've wanted screamed from rooftops. That they never really say a harsh word is(in my opinion)totally unnatural. Though I've done the same thing, not vocalizing my true thoughts and feelings because I didn't want to hurt someone. Frequently I've wanted to yell and scream at people for totally misunderstanding or not even trying to understand what was said. Bella and Edward have been doing the same thing for almost their entire relationship. Neither of them wants to hurt or drive the other away. I can so easily picture the thoughts and feelings you've written as being what they felt. And you've described Jacob's actions to a T. I like Jacob a lot and cannot understand why so many people seem to hate him. He's 15 when the Saga starts and 16 when he and Bella become close. Of course he's going to react and think the way he did. Boys his age are reacting more to their hormones and fantasies. He really believed he was in love with Bella and saving her from a fate worse than death. And he wanted her because she was beautiful. He didn't know any other way to behave. He didn't have the maturity of Edward and didn't have any type of mother figure to help him and he now turned into a wolf and that emotional turmoil didn't help. An immature teenager is a lot worse than a very mature teenage who's been a teenager for 90 yrs. And I'm going to guess the eyes belong to one of the Denali tribe. Say Tanya? |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 21 . 3/22/2010 Beautiful. If I had the time and money I would be driving across the country right now to visit where they are. Edward is such a romantic. Think that comes from the era he was raised in as a human. There's also the example of Carlisle and the way he loves and cares about his family. Edward's so willing to sacrifice anything for Bella. Anyone would be hardpressed to say he doesn't have a soul, and a beautiful one at that. As to Bella worrying about how he seems to be so good at everything romantic and physical, he's been listening to people's thoughts and desires for a very long time. I'd guess he's probably picks and chooses from the good things he's heard and puts them into practice. Bella really is beginning to understand a few more things. Even though she's always had to be the mature one in her relationship with her mother and take care of Charlie, she's still a teenager and this is the first love she has known of this kind. She does crave love and affection, but she only wants it from Edward. She's had offers from other boys to who wanted her to fall in love with them, it just wasn't going to happen. The only one who even came close is Jacob, and that's because he was her salvation when Edward deserted her. She's still a very insecure girl/woman because of her age and because she's never had the real love and afection of family. Renee and Charlie love her, but neither(as Edward points out)is capable of giving her what she neds most. She feels inadequate and insecure because of this lack. Never having been made to feel special, she can't believe she is. She's thinking Edward only loves her because she's human. Hopefully he'll gave a very interesting way of telling her that's not true. I love long chapters. The longer the better. I review more overall than specific. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 20 . 3/22/2010 There's never enough of Edward's mind/POV. I love the way he thinks. Except when he's being arrogant and overprotective, lol. Your characters are really good. I still find it very hard to accept or approve of some of Bella's actions. Especially when she's pushing Edward to do something he knows would be wrong and more than likely dangerous/fatal to her. I like your Edward, but in my mind he is still more of the Edward in the Saga. His reasons for abstaining here seem to be less moral and principled than I understand them to be. Then again Bella always seems much more agressive in fanfics than in the Saga. I believe she was/would have been that aggressive if SM had been able to write a more mature theme in parts of the books. However I'm quite sure the parents of the 12-17 yr olds reading the books would have held a public lynching and their daughters would not have been allowed within 5 miles of said books. Bella in that way is probably a normal teenager. Maybe never having been a normal teenager is why I don't understand or condone her attitude/behavior concerning pushing Edward into sex before the wedding as the deal was struct. That and I haven't been a teenager for 38 yrs. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 19 . 3/21/2010 A conversation long in the coming. Edward has always been a little too overprotective of Bella. With good reason most of the time. She's right that decisions about her life should be made with her full knowledge. Both want the best and what is right for the other. Both are afraid the other will not want them or resent them after the change. At least they are both realizing the other has good points and dumb fears. Should he tell her the full extent of what Carlisle said? Bella may not actively try and push Edward, but she'll be more than willing to not stop him. I'm thinking the nightmare has a lot to do with a certain werewolf. She's very afraid Jacob or one of the Pack is going to try and do something to stop the wedding. And I don't think she realizes this. Understanding is tantamount to acceptance, but neither of them still has a great understanding of the other. Both are basing their thinking on what they've experienced. Neither of them have quite experienced anyone like the person they are so in love with. Edward believes all human woman want children. That is not true and maybe Bella should tell him she never saw children in her future and maybe Edward should try having the faith and trust that she is telling him the truth like Esme and Carlisle have been telling him. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 18 . 3/21/2010 Yea! Bella is actually thinking with her brain and not her hormones or imagination. I know she is very much in love and wanting to experience everything that entails. She really wouldn't care if Edward had to turn her because of an accident. What she hadn't realized before now is how much that would torture him through eternity. They've both been able to say out loud a little more of why they are feeling as they do, and Bella is realizing a lot more the effects of being who she is on Edward. He already had quite a good grasp of the rejection she was feeling and he didn't like it one bit. Both of them think they are totally at fault. With a little exploring of what the other is thinking and why, they may come to realize no one is really at fault. True love never runs smooth. And when one of the pair is a vampire there are a lot more twists, bumps and hills to get through. I'm still rooting for the wedding night. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 17 . 3/21/2010 I still want to slap Bella upside the head and tell her to do a little more thinking. Harsh yes. Part of the harshness comes from the fact she agreed to a specific deal. That it was Edward who came up with the terms is of no importance. She agreed. Don't try and change the terms because you changed your mind. That Edward wants her as much as she wants him isn't any different. It's not just 'the deal' he's trying to hold on to. Living up to your parent's teachings is important, even if your parent's have been dead for almost 90 years. Principle is important and Edward is trying to live up to the old fashioned principle's he was raised on even if most people want to think otherwise. |
Siriusmunchkin chapter 16 . 3/21/2010 Bella is always doing everything she can to take care of everyone, trying to make sure everyone is happy, thinks of everyone else first never herself. There is that side that when she makes a decision she does everything she can do make it come true. I could be a little hard on her because of her new decision that I want to have sex before marriage and will do anything to get my way. She's 18 and hormones are running rampant at that age. It's not uncommon in the 21st Century to have sex before marriage. The one thing I think she's not thinking about is that Edward really believes in marriage first. He was raised that way and though times have certainly changed since he was originally a teenager, that is still the way he believes. If he was going to change that opinion, he'd probably have done something about it with one of the female vampires who have made it plain they'd love the chance. Bella needs to think a little more about Edward's feelings on the matter. She thinks it's just a matter of her getting hurt. It's more a matter keeping faith with his upbringing by his human parents. A tradition that would make them proud. |
