| Plumed Pen chapter 1 . 8/22/2008
Lol. Oh, that was cute. The ending is what made it, in my opinion. 'Twas lighthearted and humorous. It read more for little kids, but that was probably your intention. Anyway, nicely done.

Your writing style reminds me of Gail Carson Levine's. Frank and humorous. At first, I thought that a sentence such as "this made King Ralph very sad" was kind of simplistic, and that you could have chosen a more original word. But as I read on, I realized I had to keep the audience in mind. If you wrote this story for young children, then it works perfectly as it is! The ending was absolutely unexpected and funny!

This is a very light-hearted drabble. It was very nice to read after getting a new neighbor who has already woken me up and breaking one of my favorite mugs. I especially like the ending where his wig falls off- and the fact that no one thought of that earlier. Very interesting inspiration :)
