| Calise chapter 42 . 3/5
Oh my god this story is fucking beautiful. I love the relationship you created with these characters. I also loved the character development. I will be going back to review the other chapters

Aaaaah thank you so much for this story! I read it the day of my chem final instead of studying... But I couldn't stop it was so good! This is going on my bookmarks for sure :)

Aww, adorable! I'm glad to see the end of the story, because it's been an amazing journey, but sad too, because it's over. Overall, this is an incredible tale. Shunsui and Juushiro have grown a lot over the course of it, and seeing that change is one of the best parts. Seeing your writing style evolve and grow is also a lot of fun.
Thank you for such an awesome story!

Amazing conclusion! I love the way you lay out the new structure of the Academy and the divisions. Although Ren and Hinata deserve punishment, getting their help cleansing hollows will be useful.
Also, I love the hints at a new hollow power structure at the end!

A small group of Academy students rearranging the world... I like it! The relaxation and slower pace of this chapter works well to wind the tension down and bring cheer back into their lives

So many good parts to this chapter, as everything wraps up. Kenshin learning to care about others, Kali being alive, Shunsui's parents being awesome... Overall a great chapter!

And finally the traitors are revealed! Seeing the pieces come together like this is incredible. Daisuke's inner world is lovely too

That's a nasty power the arrancar (?) has! I can't wait to see how Juushiro and Shunsui fight it.
I love your descriptions of their zanpakuto and their struggle to find the names of the blades. It's a beautiful depiction of their inner worlds, and I love the way they help each other to achieve shikai. I particularly like the description of Katen Kyokotsu

I'm so glad I'm reading this after it's finished, this is a very tense cliffhanger to end a chapter on!
Kaoru's idea to use explosives is brilliant. I wonder if he got it by playing with Kuukaku? It'd make sense.
Overall another gorgeous chapter

Indra's reaction is priceless! Who cares about the rules, just punch the idiot. Ren definitely deserved it, and certainly deserved the groin shot. Anyone who throws a head-height roundhouse at a trained fighter is just asking for trouble.
Watching the political maneuvering unfold is fascinating. The situation is getting grimmer, and it's impossible to put this story down

Another fast-paced, exciting chapter; great job! The fight scenes are very well-written and the increasing political intrigue is fascinating. I love the reveal of Fong's name and a hint at her past connection to Daisuke

It's great to see the students starting to come together again! Also very fun to see Katen Kyokotsu talk to Shunsui and Fong, she's a cool spirit. Shunsui needs to learn to fight less 'honorably', since getting hurt for the sake of honor is silly. Makes total sense for the character though

It's horrible that the villagers would abandon a baby, but it makes sense, unfortunately. Great description of the evacuation and the ensuing chaos.
Fong is a fascinating character, very much a product of the classist society but also willing to bend the rules

Good job Shunsui, causing a rock slide! Everything is heating up; I can't wait to see why there's a giant group of hollows in the valley

Yay political intrigue! Suddenly we get to see a lot of the pieces on the board; it looks like things are going to get a lot more complicated from here on out. I like pacing of the story, I think introducing the main antagonists here is good timing.
