The quality of this story is mindblowing. In all my years of reading fanfiction have I read such an amazing story. I was hooked immediately and couldn't believe the quality of writing. Everything from the teen titans world is brilliantly incorporated. It's a shame that you haven't posted any more stories recently. Peace out. Dude

I really liked this story. The way I found it was that beautifulpurpleflame's favorites. This was very nicely written, with hardly any grammar mistakes. I wish I could write a story like this, and maybe I will. I was going to stop reading it at chapter 6, but I couldn't find any reason to, so I kept on reading and enjoying your story.

That was amazing. I am in love with your writing. I could not put my tablet down for two days. I even stayed up until seven in the morning reading this. Usually I am sad when a fix that I love is over, but this one gave me closure and left no loose ends. Thank you so much for writing this for the readers on this site. I can safely say that we all greatly appreciate your genius.
| CleoArrow chapter 26 . 4/1/2014
This story has captivated me entirely since the beginning. First off, you did something that I've never seen done on here, or if it has been done it was poorly written (this certainly was not one of those). You made them adults. I NEVER read stories that stray from the Teen Titan original world if I can help it, because until now I had yet to find one that was anywhere near good. This was a ballpark past good; it was fantastic. I will be honestly surprised if you are not published with a story of your own by now. You made these characters their own characters, managing to incorporate the Teen Titans world and qualities we all love and know (even with Garfield being painted green when he was little and Rachel's meditation). You by no means blew things out of proportion, the accident and phyical pain consequenced afterward was very believable. The sense of reality is rarely seen, even in published books. I was up until 11:30 reading this last night and went to bed wanting to finish it.
The only question I have is if we ever find out who Rachel was hit by in the car accident. I thought maybe it was Steve, but I do hope it wasn't. I did manage to figure out that Rita had been the one to pay for Rachel's appointment though, so I was just wondering. That was another thing; the relationships were realistic too. The closeness of the family and friends was well balanced. They had flaws, but every close family will at one point or another.
I have a million other wonderful things to say about this story, but it would take me probably as long as it took you to write this for me to mention them all, so I'll be short and say you are a wonderful author and thank you for this beautiful piece of literature!

I finally stumbled across this story after exhausting all of beautifulpurpleflame's stories and I'm shocked I did not try reading it sooner. It was recommended to me a while back by *shout out* The Hidden Girl but I didn't give it much thought because I was new to reading fan fictions in general, much less AU stories. After reading "The Malchior Widow" and "Beach House" by bpf though, I've become more open to AU... and dang, am I glad I did! I can't quite say that they were all completely in character. Nor would I want to. The time and passion spent writing how everything fit together would have been wasted if the characters were exactly the same as the show. And obviosly people will change when things like that happen to them.
I have not looked through your other works yet but when I do, I sincerely hope there is a sequal of some sort. I just feel like not everything has been quite resolved yet, such as Steve, if Rachel ever finds out that Rita financed her physical therapy (which I am really proud of myself for guessing correctly, a rare occurrence indeed), and the results of Rachel telling the three that they are her cousins.
I had a few problems with some of the spelling but I'm sure you've heard plenty on that so I won't harp on it. Besides, I've seen way worse and lived.
One of the things I enjoyed the most was how realistic the interactions were between the characters; the mother-daughter relationship between Rachel and Melvin, the two brothers bickering (I totally kept mixing them up by the and never could remember who was older), the clear affection between Kori and Richard, and Vic is totally the favorite uncle that everyone loves. Vic and Gar even argued about too! Man, that'll never get old.
Everything about this story was beautifully crafted. From the awkward conversations involving Gar and Rachel that sometimes filled with tension, to the detailed descriptions of many of the characters' pasts (which were definitely worth the wait), to the intense, spasm-inducing, humorous moments, each scene was painted to perfection with a beauty that only a master writer would have, I would even dare to say. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard and that's saying something cuz I love to laugh. I couldn't even begin to write everything I loved about this story. It would a book of my own to get through the first chapter probably... and I would have to reread it just to make sure I didn't miss anything... which wouldn't actually be a bad thing come to think of it.
My point is I thoroughly enjoyed this story through and through. It is absolutely one of my favorites... and it's AU no less. Congratulations are in order, congratulations for making a fun, lovable, sometimes sad, sometimes frustrating, emotion evoking story. It was truly a masterpiece.

This story has officially ruined reading fanfiction for me. This is probably the best story on this whole site, no stories will ever be more than simply adequate when compared to this one, especially other BBxRae stories. You're an amazing writer, definitely one of the best I know, so thank you for the great story. (I'm not gonna lie though, when I got to the end I was kinda wishing that the story was twice as long, but that's how it goes for all really good endings.)

Awesome story, loved how Gar lived in this story. Also liked how Rachelo had three adopted children.
| A.L.L.Y chapter 26 . 12/12/2013
This is the best story I have ever read... The plot, the situations, even the funny part were very well explained. It have been a long time I read something like this. I hope to see one new story of the Teen Titans or a new chapter of this story.
| QuxxnofThrones chapter 26 . 10/10/2013
Just wanted to say I loved this story and stayed up late these past couple of nights to read it, I don't usually like AU but you stuck to who they really are just minus the superpowers. This is now one of my favorites.
| Blak-Ice chapter 26 . 9/20/2013
I loved this story. It was really well written, it was entertaining and it was nice and long. I will definitely be rereading this again some time in the near future.
| andIJDC chapter 26 . 9/5/2013
First off, I just have to say that I absolutely loved this story. It was such a refreshing change of the typical teenaged-romance stories that are everywhere. That being said though, the ending kind of left me wanting more- like I just went through an amazingly delicious dinner with just enough room for dessert only to be given a tiny bite instead of a whole slice of cake.
I really did love being able to see how all the characters grew and changed through their struggles in a very beautifully written story, but I would have like to see more from Gar and Rachel trying to work out the kinks of being an actual couple rather than just waltzing around each other without ever admitting anything. Sometimes I felt that some of the drama in the story was just thrown in there for the sake of having another reason for them not to get together hidden in the form as a smidgen more of character development (which nearing the end of the story there already was plenty of).
One of the things that had first hooked me to this story was how in the beginning you incorporated little bits and pieces of everyone's lives, allowing them to slowly intertwine. But then somewhere in the first couple of chapters, Kori and Richard just kind of disappeared once they had the first date. I could have done with a little less Gar and Rachel for a good mix of all three couples (but that's a completely different point that's more my personal preference and really doesn't affect the flow of the story).
But once again, really great story overall.

To be honest, I pretty much just skimmed the first third of the chapter- it was just way too much expected disaster after disaster that it got tedious to read through it. But after that, I really liked this chapter. For one thing, I finally got to see a little more of Richard (without just being mentioned as a pair with Kori). Also got some questions answered and...yeah, just overall pleasant ending.

As I sat reading through this chapter, I kept getting filled with more dread with every sentence I read. The foreshadowing for disaster here was just too obvious to try to ignore and pretend to be hopeful. I almost wanted to walk away out of dread of what was to come for poor Gar, and I almost felt like I was in his shoes, dragging myself through this chapter; and for that I give you props for pulling so into this story!
