Reviews for And Yet He Flinched |

![]() ![]() ![]() "Severus' usual sour glower once again closed over his face. But for the briefest of moments it had slipped and I was distressed to see what was behind it." Me too. I knew Severus had been abused for just about all his life, but this story makes it so clear that it breaks my heart. Still, it's so well done that I'm glad to have read it. Good job. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was so heartbreaking, and you're not too far off from what happens in the future books either. Great work! |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow, I really liked it. The Cruciatus... so much hate is required for that one. It makes the situation so much more darker than even I envisioned until then. |
![]() ![]() "And he flinched." That was a very powerful way to end the story. I'm with Severus, however; Dumbledore definitely betrayed him. |
![]() ![]() I LOVE this story (I save it) _ |
![]() ![]() ![]() poor severus. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is a fantastic piece of work, with remarkable precognition considering it was written with only the first four books of the series published. You recognised that SS was a much maligned figure when I was still thinking he was a git for treating Harrt so badly; in fact when I was still thinking these are nice stories... I wish more people could read this. Thank you |
![]() ![]() ![]() OMG. This. Was. Awesome! I love the last six sentances. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. This is utterly amazing. I found this on someone's profile page. You can't believe my shock when I saw that I oneshot of less than 1,500 words had over 200 reviews. But now I see why. This is beautifully written. I love how you never outright mention child abuse, but we all know that's what you're talking about. The first-person POV of McGonagall is also very well-done. Not one word seems out of place. This is a true masterpiece of writing. But the one thing that really did it for me was the beautiful, bittersweet, heart-breaking ending. Gah. Excellent work. Thank you for posting this. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Fantastic writting! Dumbledore really crushed his and Minerva's progress with severus after the Werewolf Incident, how typical of him. I'm glad that Minerva at least had the best intentions, when no one else had. Excellent one-shot:) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow *.* This one definitly belongs to the category "Angst". There isnt really any physical violence (at least not outrightly decribed) or even verbal abuse, but the atmosphere of the story was just so intense and dark... You also have a great grasp on the characters, especially Snape and Minerva are very well-described. And I also really liked the ending, it sort of links the two approaches of Minerva towards Snape :) greets |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice, man. Nice. |
![]() ![]() ![]() that is so sad! what is with you people and making me cry? lol. poor severus! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is so heartbreakingly wonderful. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Aw, now you've gone and made me sad. |
