I was going to wait until I got through the main series again before leaving another review but I got enraptured and wanted to talk about this story. It's still so good years later since I've last read this. It was fun noticing some of the stuff that has been changed (or at least what I think has changed). Correct me if I'm wrong but Natalie actually trying to stop Colleen and Penelope from writing in the journal was new, right? Even if it wasn't and I just completely forgot, I still really enjoyed that aspect. A huge thing I like in your stories is that all the characters have nuances and lives that we just don't see all the time (as evidenced by your many other stories with the cast). It makes the new gen world feel lived in and not just a last minute future that was cooked up in an hour. Anyways I'm excited to continue my reread and relive some experiences. I like this story a lot, the writing and the slow build towards Vic and Ted’s relationships, but the way everyone is always slut-shaming Colleen and Penelope makes me dislike them. The jokes about Colleen’s sex life feel out of place in an otherwise mature story.
