| Andromakhe chapter 1 . 4/7/2012
*sighs* This is quite true to Anakin's character, unfortunately. And you've really hit on the tragedy of his joining the Dark Side and betraying the Jedi. He finally realizes that what he took for sanctimonious platitudes really were the truth. The Dark Side cannot be controlled and while it tempts and makes empty promises, in the end, it becomes the master. I would like to think that Obi-Wan did confront him about his rather frightening lack of empathy and his horrifying fits of rage, but in the end, even Obi-Wan probably got the point that Anakin refused to listen. A sobering look into just how far Anakin fell. And I only feel disappointment and grudging pity for it. It is still Anakin's fault.

Painful. I always wondered what was going through Anakin's mind when he killed the younglings, since he seemed like someone who would be fond of children.
Was the woman's voice that of his mother?
