|Reviews for When the Tigers Broke Free|

Very sweet and sad. I think the scene where Jake walks in to find Stanley holding Bonnie is such a powerful scene. That whole story arc is amazing, and to see it written out like this was wonderful. Great job.

Okay, so I'm over here tearing up. Seriously. My huband would be making fun of me for getting upset over t.v. characters if he were here.
This was a very powerful vignette. In general, this situation just breaks my heart for Stanley. For a guy who's so young, he's had to deal with so much loss and take on incredible responsibilities. Bonnie wasn't just a little sister to Stanley; in many ways, she was like his child. Their relationship certainly transcended the typical brother/sister relationship, and I think you really captured that.
There were also a few lines that I really liked.
Something as simple as the darkness made his stomach churn and his thoughts race.
“Mom and Dad aren’t coming back, Bonnie.”
And neither are you.
Those last two especially got to me. Sigh.
