|Reviews for Living Legacy|
| 1066AndAllThat chapter 10 . 8/7/2011
I was sitting on the train from Dublin to Belfast today, wondering if I would find a SSHG story that would hold my interest for more than one chapter...and, after some serious flicking through pages and pages of stories, I stumbled across this little gem. I love your writing style and your dialogue is so engaging. Loved the plot with all of its twists and turns...plus, I adored all the fluff between Severus and Hermione!
I am looking forward to reading more of your work!

Thank you for another awesome SSHG fanfic! I love it!

I just read Legacy again. It makes me smile every time I read it! How could I not?
It’s always been clear that you know Severus and Hermione’s characters inside and out, and this story brings them to life perfectly. I know I’ve reviewed before. I’m sure I’ve told you how utterly perfect this story is; from your vivid imagery to the real emotion with which you manage to infuse your plot, from the wonderful flow to the perfect pace, and every nuance in between, it’s just sublime.
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned how much I love your Eileen in my past reviews. If I have not, I have been terribly remiss. Her interactions with Severus and Hermione simply ring true. You have developed her character beautifully. You made her exactly as she should be, and then you found a way to expand her character even more. Her character is very real, and she's wonderful part of Legacy.
Living Legacy is the very best of what makes SS/HG so enthralling. It's a superlative piece that I know I will read again and again.

I loved the story!
Although I was slightly disappointed that Bill didn't appear after the first few chapters.
The scene where Severus went to the Ministry and he was complaing about his walking stick had me laughing!
I loved Eileen in this story. She was a fantastic character. Cookie for you since Eileen was mentioned once or twice in the actual HP Books.
Twisting different Deathly Hallow scenes in here was fantastic. I loved how Hermione thought Severus had told Harry to look at him so Sev could see Lily's eyes, when actually he was trying to see Hermione's reflection in Harry's glasses.
This story was awesome!

Gah, Sev can be such an IDIOT ;)

This is the third time I've read this and it never gets old :D

Well, it's been a nice ride. It's really wonderful to read fics like this where Snape actually gets his much-deserved happy ending. What I loved most about your story was the dialogue, which flowed naturally and engagingly, and the characterisation of Snape and Hermione: Snape is still his snarky canon self but without the bitterness and nastiness, and Hermione is just as impulsive and emotional as she was in the books. Eileen was a nice addition to the story, too.
There were a couple of things that bothered me, though. I thought everyone, not including Bill and his small outburst at the beginning of the story, took rather calmly the news of the relationship between Snape and Hermione. And moreover, from the very beginning the reader must accept said relationship as an established fact. It's not something we've seen develop and grow over time, and knowing Snape, I found it hard to believe at first that he had had such a sudden change of heart and 'opened up' to Hermione about himself and even got involved, to some degree, with her and all the rest of it.
But hey, that's just me and my unending love of angst and conflicts and slow-paced "coming to an understanding" plotline. :) I did like your story immensely, and just because I'd've liked a gradual development between Snape and Hermione, doesn't mean I didn't like the way things developed in your story. On the contrary. There's everything here: there's drama and a bit of angst and chapters that simple ooze fluffiness and cuteness, which make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)
So, all in all, it was a fantastic story and I enjoyed every second of it. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, gosh, for a moment there you had me near tears. Heh. Well, I think a happily-ever-after is nigh so I may just forgive you for doing that kind of thing when everything was going so smoothly for Snape and Hermione. ;)

Wonderful chapter. I couldn't stop giggling like a complete idiot. :D My favourite parts were Ginny's conversation with Hermione, because it was awkward and hilarious and sweet, and the ending of the chapter, because Snape as a distraught husband is simply priceless. :)

Honestly, I love how you've twisted scenes from the Deathly Hallows and made them your own in this story.
Abigail is definitely Daddy's little girl. And a nice twist to have Severus' son be a Seeker in the Ravenclaw Quidditch team )
I enjoyed this story very much. It was truly a wonderful read. Well done!

Awww this whole chapter was adorable!
I like how Severus bonded with his son. I panicked for a moment when I thought you were going to make him leave Hermione and Ben but the ending was perfect.
Sev wants to bind to Hermione like she is bound to him...so sweet.

I loved Sev's characterisation is this chapter! Goes from tender lover to panicking father to be, lol.
Again, great work. I do love this story!

I do love how you've twisted Sev's death scene into your own. It's a fabulous story so far.
I found the scenes between Severus and Hermione very touching...very sweet indeed. And how Sev was going crazy with worry at the beginning.
I'm interested to see where you take their "marriage"
| Rameelia chapter 7 . 2/18/2011
I'm glad Snape and Hermione have cleared things up between them. Nice chapter.
| Rameelia chapter 6 . 2/18/2011
I liked this chapter. I particularly enjoyed the conversation between Snape and Eileen, especially this place:
""I have … doubts," Severus replied haltingly. "Hermione is young. It is possible she is confusing infatuation with love.""
I seems so like Snape, that kind of self-loathing admission, and my heart went out to him at that moment. I also liked how he was finally able to look back at his relationship with Lily without all the angst and remorse, and that he realised there was difference between what he had felt for her and what he now feels for Hermione.
