This was a really interesting story. There are not nearly enough stories that explore this theme. I think a Dark Carter would be disastrous for the galaxy with that brain of hers. Good job she was on our side. I wish you'd write another simliar type story. You know, a little break from all that shipping stuff. :)

wow! this is one of the best fanfiction i have ever read! amazing!
| sci-fied chapter 20 . 7/1/2009
Liked it, loved it, confused by it at the end...I thought the ending was a little vague, but I guess it needed to be if everything was to remain alright between them.
Anyways...it was great. Thanks for the literary treat!
| sci-fied chapter 5 . 7/1/2009
LOL...Cassie got grounded because of your moral dilemma...love it! And love this story so far.
I usually wait until the end of a completed story to review, but that was just too funny to pass up...
| Ramenth chapter 20 . 1/25/2009
An awesome fic; this has all the feel, except the relationship, of a real SG:1 episode.
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 20 . 7/20/2008
Okay, Aunt Bertha move over, Jack's got cake...
The spit take of all times...
That was good!
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 18 . 7/20/2008
"Live long and prosper Spock"
"I shall do neither, for I have killed my Captain, and my friend..."
TOS "Amok Time"
It made me sad reading it too. I felt Carter's pain at what she'd done.
Next up, an emotional outburst to bring the house down... Muffled by regulations off course! "Jack! You're..."
"Eating Cake of course Carter! Plus the commissary gave the last of the cookies to Slidell, that girl is to words what Siler is to wrenches!"
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 17 . 7/20/2008
I also think of her as female, especially since, as I seem to recall from Tok'ra part two, they mention that she's always had female hosts. Jacob, sorry, General Carter, was her first male host. We know that they are typically genderless, except of course for the Queen's, but we also know they tend to have a preference...
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 16 . 7/20/2008
To have such a deep understanding of love in one so young. Amazing. You get the whole Jack and Sam thing in way most people don't, you also write them all extremely well.
Rock on girl,
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 14 . 7/20/2008
Ah, right, like Nishta, only it takes a severe emotional shock. Kinda like a psychotic brake only in reverse... Wow. The Reavers should be so lucky...
What, that's not what I meant... Exactly...
I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone, even the people in my past that have done it to me. I guess that's one of the so many ways that makes me someone in recovery, and my mother-in-law a Psycho-Socio-path. Well she used to be my MIL, until my husband died that is...
Anyway, this is great stuff. This could have easily been a stand alone episode for SG1. I think I'm going to add 901 to my lockout list with 490... Oy!
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 11 . 7/20/2008
It just struck me... Reavers! This is like that chemical they used on that planet. Left some people "fine" and others, oh dear... Nice twist on the concept...
"The message must go out..."
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 7 . 7/20/2008
A daunting grin crossed her face. "I'm fine... you on the other hand..."
I can see where this one is going...
"Have a snake in your head!"
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 5 . 7/20/2008
Having Cassie grounded was good. I'm sure she didn't think so, but it worked out just as well. No reason for her to worry she went through enough in Line of Duty...
Me, my personal favorite are seventh graders, their minds are like little sponges and they haven't yet caught up in the wash, and torment, of hormones so much.
| Greeneyedzenggirl chapter 4 . 7/20/2008
Like RepliCarter without the oil, or the nanites... This is good, it almost reminds me of an old TOS episode... She's fighting, but this is harder than even "Line of Duty" because this is the growing darkness within her, her own, not that of a machine or a snake...
You're doing good, taking Carter to a place we each have inside us, and fight with for balance. This is some really good character development stuff her. It shows, that she's more human, not less.
You are very brave!
