I love dead Mary waiting for John to get out of hell and watching the demon fail to turn Sam.

Most amazing and powerful fanfic! Honestly, I'm in awe.
Choosing YED's perspective for this tag with his vicious comments and musings about the Winchester family was a brilliant idea and you just nailed it superbly. *applauds frantically*
Bringing Mary on in to tease him effortlessly, also made perfect sense and gave her storyline (as hinted at in AHBL II) some more depth without giving anything away, really.
I merely would have suggested your offering a setting for the story right at the beginning in the author's note - just my two-cents, of course.
IMHO, near perfect piece of fanfic. Easily one of the best you've written so far - and you did a wonderful job on a LOT of stuff already. *bows endlessly*

I'm reviewing as I read again:
But no. Samuel Winchester remains as steadfast and as… as good as ever. It makes no sense.-He won't slip, not as long as Dean is there. That's just what I think though. But if Dean goes to Hell (and I think he will...at least for a few episodes) then Sam will probably go all 'dark side'. Like that episode where Dean keeps on dying.
Azazel, born as he was of fire, air and eternity. (That sounds incredibly beautiful, powerfu and deadly. Great work!)
The brother. His death could well be the last straw for Samuel. (It probably will be...until Bobby comes and kicksSam's ass back into shape!...Wherupon they will sve Dean from Hell and make me a happy girl ;P)
“He won’t, you know.”
A woman’s voice interrupts his dreaming, smug and satisfied. Azazel turns once more, and there she is, standing behind him with her arms crossed over her chest and slow smirk stretching her mouth. The same lazy smile she bequeathed to her son.- D Gotta love Mary's kick-ass attitude and unwavering belief in her sons!
“He won’t turn,” Mary Winchester says. “He has something you never will.”
“A body exclusively his own?” Azazel mocks her. “We’ll see how much good that does him.”-I'd knock him out.
“You envy us that, too,” Mary replies calmly. “But I meant his soul. His ability to love. Coupled with the knowledge of who and what you truly are… knowledge is power, after all. There’s a reason all the other children fell. Ignorance. John made sure that would never be Sammy’s problem. (This is very true. I can only imagine how John struggled while trying to decide when would be the best time to tell his young children that the things that go 'bump' in the night really ARE real and they CAN kill you.) Frankly, you’re in trouble.”
John Winchester’s was the first body Azazel possessed in long long years, and the shock of gaining the man’s memories is with him still: the taste of food, the sun on his face, weight of a baby in his arms, laughter shared with his firstborn son, warm comfort of friends and family, heat of passion.-Those are all very beautiful and emotional memories. The fact that John chose to remember those things more strongly than the saddness, fear, anger, hurt and grief only serves to make them even more powerful.
Mary is watching him with that damn smirk still curving her mouth. Azazel can remember tracing a finger along those lips, pressing kisses to their corners, parting them with his tongue.-More of John's memories...)
“I am surprised you’re not with your darling boys.”-As am I...though not really...if she were with them all the time they wouldn't be able to focus and they'd probably stop hunting, even if only for a little while.
“There are some rules to this state of being. Besides, Sammy has everything he needs already. But if you do send that bitch of yours to mess with my sons, I’ll drop by and have a word with Dean.”-D Never mess with a mother's child(ren). You're bound to get hurt...or worse.
Mary looks round Cold Oak, and sniffs. “You couldn’t have picked a classier joint?”-Mary's sense of humour is awesome! He specifically picked out that place and she just put it down. Mary: 1, Azazel: 0
“Want me to give Johnny a message?” Azazel asks spitefully. (I'd kill him. Right after the last word came out of his lips...I'd kill him. I would ahve found a way.) He hadn’t thought it was possible for her to smile even wider, but she does.
“Tell him I’ll see him soon.”-Mary: 2, Azazel: still 0
“Impossible,” Azazel snaps.-sk tsk tsk! Azazel should know better than to discount a Winchester!
“There are days – weeks, now – when he can’t even remember your name.”-But once h sees her, that'll all change.
She saunters over to him, slow and casual, and Azazel finds himself watching the swing of her hips, aching to understand why the body under those loose clothes means so much to John Winchester, why he recalls the feel of it under his palms, in his arms, with such longing, such regret.-That last bit of John's memories made me so incredibly sad! He's been hurting so much since the day she died.
“There are some things,” Mary says, looking directly into his eyes now, “that not even you can destroy, Grigori. The sun, the stars, the earth itself. Hope. Mercy. Faith. Compassion. And above all? Love.”
Then she’s gone, leaving Azazel with his yearning, and his growing fear.-A perfect way to finishoff this story; with Azazel trembling in his boots.
Hopefully you'll write a continuation to this story when Mary gets John out of Hell. Please?
Another wonerful story! This one is one of my favourites. I especially enjoy how you write Mary. I really do! D

That was awesome. It was a really cool new take on Mary Winchester that did not leave her as some sort of angel, but as an actual person. I love the way it was written. Alas, you are not a writer for Supernatural or I would be even more excited for its return. :D
