![]() ![]() ![]() I like how he compares himself to Romeo. That was one of those many-times-discussed. I especially liked the last 3 chapters, plus last sentence. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great! My least favorite? hmm That he didn't feel guilty. Favorite? The pillow case swap. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Stephenie gave us enough so that we can know Edward, in Midnight Sun. But, I like hearing his POV from other perspectives. I think you've got him down pat. (BTW I like your opening comments about what Robert Pattison has done to you. hahaha) |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's been a long while since I read a Twilight fic, but that tittle was PRICELESS! Those three are so hopelessly stuck with each other it's not even funny. Great job! I always love to dig in Edward's head :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really enjoyed being inside Edward's head. You should do more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved it, though I thought it would be bit longer.. But still great work.. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good one, I really enjoyed it.. It was nice to find that Edward is a man inside his head.. I loved the moment where he realised how close the two desires were.. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh that was strong! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is very good..all Edwards emotions and thoughts were in line of his actions and very oc.. Loved it |
![]() ![]() Great interpretation of this scene! |
![]() ![]() ![]() wao!... When i read that same part on Eclipse, i was wonder the same!... And this is a GREAT answer, thank you so much for writing this! xoxo |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah yes, it is rather fun recalling this stuff- BTW I think one shots were my favorite part of twilight fan fiction, which certainly isn't the case for the other stuff I've read. Well maybe P&P again, there are a lot of really fun ones there. But certainly not HP. Also EPOV. Anyways the whole dysfunctional dynamic between the two, Edward barely sees Bella as an object to be protected, not an actor, while Bella wants to be able to make her choices, for the sole purpose of choosing Edward of course. Inequality etc. Although in the context of how often shipping fan fiction turns the heroine into a largely useless protection object (even if giving her nominal abilities) it is sort of interesting to see how Meyer had the entire issue an explicit central part of the way the characters thought about things in this story. Honestly, while thinking about Twilight on its own terms the awfulness is apparent, but seeing Meyer in relationship to other stuff makes her seem better and more interesting. Hell if I had to choose I might right now take Breaking Dawn over Deathly Hallows. They both are awful of course, and the best scenes in DH are much better than the best in BD, but... Anyways this has nothing to do with your story but that I suppose is what happens when reviewed by someone who is using the opportunity to reflect. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmmmm, I'm looking through the stuff I favorited back when I was reading Twilight fan fiction spring 2009 (instead of working on my undergrad history thesis, seems from the AN you can relate). Looking at this now, I rather wish more fandoms used first person PoV extensively, in a lot of ways it is just better at writing a romantic story. Harry/Hermione or NaruHina, or even Elizabeth/Darcy just never has been quite as good for me at getting at the romantic fluffies as Twilight was. Though obviously P&P fan fic comes closest, but there isn't nearly as much of it. I do think there is something rather deeply problematic about Edward seeing this as a competition with Jacob, I mean in a limited sense I suppose it is, but... he isn't even really competing. And a woman shouldn't be a prize in a pissing contest between men- though Bella being as off as she is probably doesn't mind the idea of being competed for (though I suppose at some level nobody would deeply mind it). Anyways... |
![]() ![]() So...I know it's about 3 years late but I was just rereading this story and I can't get over how absolutely you have gotten in Edward's mind. "this was why I had so many doubts about my own ultimate immortality—all the tangible parts of me were dead to spiritual impulses. But Bella was integrated—a whole person" Come on, that's poetry. I don't really believe that it is possible to get into Edward's psyche any more than that. I don't wish to offend anyone but I think your Edward is better than SM's. Blasphemy I know. Sorry that's how I feel. And while it isn't the first time, or even the most important aspect I cannot find enough words to express how fabulous it is to read a story with good grammar, correct punctuation, and properly spelled words. So even though it has been so long, and in reading other reviews of this story I have seen that you didn't intend to write any more Twilight stories I would love to see more. I can beg if you think it will help. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Your four stories were a pleasure to read- I always love Edward's Ponit Of View but you did a fanominal job. It sounded just like the Edward of Stephanie Meyers's masterpiece. Keep writing! |
