|Reviews for The Lady and the Knight|
| Hermonthis chapter 19 . 3/24
“How long have you been carrying me?” “Forever.” - Oh god, the feelings.
This story is beyond amazing and I'm glad to have found it during a time I needed to believe in magic again. Your Sarah is unlike any Sarah I've read before, and it's wonderful. It's very clever of you to include elements of storytelling to change things (like Jareth becoming the Knight because the King doesn't get what he longs for). And dear god, DEAR GOD CHAPTERS 15/16.
You don't forget a story like this.
| snapify52 chapter 6 . 3/22
Poor Goblin King. I hope Sarah can help him.
| Guitilyinnocent chapter 15 . 3/15
God I love this story, how manipulative but well intentioned Sarah is, clever but also not superhuman/unrealistic. I love how she has actually history and relationships with other characters like Marcus and that that relationship has a breaking point. Love the angst! And the writing, the descriptions, the bnace and tension. It's worth staying up late to read, and thinking about the next day :)
| Guiltilyinnocent chapter 8 . 3/14
Love the fairy tale adventure vibes, the mysterious magic rules that have a hidden logic. Great story, great dynamics between the main characters

| Guest chapter 15 . 2/12
wait, so did she have the choice between the magic mirror (that could probably be made anew) and the last mystical seed of everything to make and she picked the seed? (what happened to that other crystal?) sooo confused...!
| Minirowan chapter 19 . 10/19/2014
This was so good! It was interesting to see how Sarah's adventure affected her life. You also did well in distinguishing her cruelty; I can't think of anything else she could have done to prove it.
In any case, I love this story. I wish I could read more about the world you made and see that tree bloom despite all logic.
| Armate chapter 19 . 10/8/2014
Wow. This was incredible!
To be honest, this is how I could imagine both of them best. I loved that Sarah has taken charge here and gone into the other worlds herself. How self-confident she is in both worlds. I think you really captured both her connectedness with the other and her stubborn and strong nature wonderfully. For me, this is the most likely adult Sarah I have ever read. :)
And your description of his kind of love for her... whoah. Beautiful. Lost for words beyond that, sorry. Deeply touched, though.
Thank you, and have a lovely day...
| Tamha chapter 19 . 9/1/2014
I think this might have one of the best representations of post-runner Sarah I've ever seen. Thank you for this story (and writing more in this 'verse).
| veronicaselene chapter 19 . 7/15/2014
Oh my gosh! Sooo good! Such wonderful imagery! Your writing made it so easy to picture and I LOVED your Jareth. Sigh... I may need to reread this one again very soon!
| Shadow131 chapter 19 . 7/12/2014
I desperately want to know what Marcus does, especially when he has Toby's address...is that what the sequel is about!? Must read! But that ending: D'awwww! Your work is really a treat to read, thank you so much for the wonderful diversion!
| Shadow131 chapter 16 . 7/12/2014
Uh, I call BS, why can't the tree bloom? That's re-donking-diculous. Does it need, like, love or tree sex or something?
But YAY, BIM! Was anyone ever so happy to see a horse!
| Shadow131 chapter 15 . 7/12/2014
It seems to me Marcus doesn't need to be upset about planting the seed, as that's rather the point. Only way to get more seeds is to...plant more trees. I do hope he gets one at the end, though again, I really enjoy the sacrifices that Sarah and Jareth are making for one another. It heightens the tension and cost of everything.
| Shadow131 chapter 14 . 7/12/2014
Oh God, Owl Jareth is SO CUTE! What a beautiful moment of sacrifice! This story is just one big tear-jerker after another! But your hilarious author's notes do lighten the mood somewhat.
| Shadow131 chapter 12 . 7/12/2014
Huh, I would have expected a sword as well. As ever, great descriptions.
