Reviews for The Watchman |

![]() ![]() ![]() Ah yes, the berserker trance. I'm kinda surprised Rorschach can outdo 'bestial' enemies on that front, but he is, unlike them, smart enough to use tools. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I agree with reviews that say he should be terser, but it's hard to write like that. Excuse me. Agree with reviews saying should be terser. Hard to write such. Hahaha. Someone transported into DC canon without any context would indeed be this baffled... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Roxy, you're half right, but your name's not Selina Kyle. Of COURSE crime rates are reacting oddly now that Gotham has an actual death penalty... Mind, I don't think the death penalty is entirely necessary IRL, but in GOTHAM, where all the prisons might as well install revolving doors in the cells? Hm... |
![]() ![]() ![]() And nothing of value was lost. ...except that we can't have Dark Knight Returns with a dead Joker. Bother. Okay, that's the only scrap of value the man ever had... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Read reviews. Seems Rorschach is OP and glorified... ...hahaha, DC universe deserves it. This is a place in which sadistic mass murderers get shunted through a perpetual cycle of imprisonment-escape-imprisonment with the "heroes" doing f-all to stop it. His attitude would be a breath of fresh air. |
![]() ![]() ![]() There was some good potential with the idea but the crossovers got out of hand real fast. It didn't help with the Deus Ex Machina (or rather Deus Ex Manhattan) who served no other purpose then to remove some of the most powerful beings in DC from the equation. Never mind there are beings that would have smeared Rorschach and Dr Manhattan if they set their minds to it. The Time Trapper immediately comes to mind and given Crossover Earth is back (assuming it was gone to begin with) there are such beings as Mad Jim Jaspers and Molecule Man to add to the admittedly short list. The Time Trapper, while beatable, is not truly killable as he (or rather it) is a self aware alternate timeline. More over it the Trapper got pissed off enough he could create another pocket universe and create alternate versions of the Watchmen if he so wanted. If that wasn't enough there is Earth 4 where Watchmen like Charlton characters exist. The Question there is, if possible, worst then Rorschach. He force feeds a drug dealer Blue Beetle (Night Owl II) caught and handcuffed to a basketball pole heroin and while ghe guy is dying he tries to figure out what is the best phrase to put on his calling card. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I couldn't possibly have your permission to rewrite this on my own image could I? |
![]() ![]() … Dude you made Rorschach so boring. He's like a bland, tasteless whitebread sandwich, that had Styrofoam and cardboard as toppings. Also the story got weird fast, anime and other things |
![]() ![]() ![]() Is Rorschach gonna get any love? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Jokers dead already? No... He's my favorite character! And to think that he'd die so quickly, without u even giving him a small fighting chance... |
![]() ![]() ![]() This started at 2008, when I was 7. Before even the movie, which I only vaguely remember watching when I was younger, but I always remembered Roscharch. Maybe not his name, but I remember seeing him kill the dogs, kill the man due to the man feeding the dogs a little girl. I remember as a child being fascinated with the idea that a hero can be so violent when a villain stoops to a certain level, and that he was my favorite character in the movie. Then I remember him dyibg at the end, and all I remember from my young forgettable mind was that I was extremely confused and had a feeling of "Wrong"Ness. That Manhatten did something bad, but considering I couldn't follow the conversation very well at the time, I didn't know why. Extremely interested now that I know why, downloading this story. Let's see how good u make such a hero be in Gotham, one of the worst cities in the DC universe, in a universe full of depressing dark shiz |
![]() ![]() I, just... I don't know what to say... Your grammar is terrible, it's as if you don't even take the time to check your work before sending it out. Honestly, my review probably reads better than your story. This isn't even mentioning what an unfocused clustertruck your plot is. I don't know that in the world is going on, and you really don't need to have Rorschach in the story at all! It's just such a waste of potential character dynamic as well. Rorschach sees the world in binary morality, and that could easily be a point of contention between him and other heroes. Really, I think that this should have been mire along the lines of a deconstruction of heroic archetypes, and an exploration of what heroism involves, especially relating to the darker side of human nature. |
![]() ![]() ![]() DAMN Rorschach! you just blew my mind. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think she would last long against doomsday. the other villains I don't know? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Grammar was cringy before, but it's become horrific with the increasing dialogue. Can't keep reading, but it was somewhat interesting at least. |
