An emotionally truthful fic, and as the author says quite hard to write. Not hard to read, though: this writer is very skilled.

One of the many pleasant things about this fiction is that all of the details are absolutely right. You know in your bones that this is the man Ichigo will grow up to be. Karin and Toushiro, we saw that one coming; Yuzu and Hanataro? That's genius. Unknown until considered, inevitable once heard.

In canon, even though Kubo makes every effort to present her as "little and cute," Rukia has never been entirely likeable (well, to be frank about it, except for the bad temper and the lust for Chappie, she's never really been there at all, as a person). She hits Ichigo with impunity, often without provocation. This author must have been as sick of her machinations as this reviewer ... here, we see the woman she has become, thirty years on. We also see the man Ichigo is, even now, in the canon. Thirty years have added some gravitas to him, rounded out the testosterone-fueled teenager into a praiseworthy adult ... so much so that his friends, who now include those once his enemies, will go to bat for him.

A light and deft introduction to a Seireitei much changed from that we are used to seeing. The characters have not altered, beyond the growth one would expect in thirty years of accumulating personal experience: Ichigo, Byakuya, and Renji are still recognizably Ichigo, Byakuya, and Renji.

Expertly crafted, with great attention to detail. After the news that Kaien gave Byakuya in the first chapter, this one seems all smooth and silky, but there is a hint of trouble in the House of Kurosaki.

well, the plot was a good one too. maybe a little long int hte beginning, we have just glimpes of their lives before the real plot begins.

In the beginning of this story Elvis Presley's "Don't cry daddy" kept playing in my head. A really touching scene, and well written.

I have always seen Senbonzakura as a beautiful lady in a kimono, so I like the way you wrote her.

What was Rukia's present to Syaoran? Did you ever think one up? Or did you purposely not tell us because it wasn't the actual present that mattered, but the fact that it was a gift from a mother to daughter?

Hai! I read your story "Of Violence" and I have to say it is quite interesting, I can't wait to read more. I was wondering about the other character, Yuu, Kiuna, and I saw that you mentioned Sanji. Isn't Sanji from One Peace? And I was looking up some of the names and Kiuna is also a character from One Peace, but a minor character. Anyways, I really liked it.
