| Loresign chapter 1 . 1/20/2014
I wondered how could people of Smallville just not know about Clark. Thank you for this - It was funny and cute.
| Saint Arkham chapter 1 . 1/22/2013
This was really funny, the thought of everyone in town just sort of casually knowing the secret made me seriously laugh out loud. The last lines with them moving on to talking about Kim Browning in a way that implied that they cared about that about as much as they cared about Clark being Superman, just in this casual way, really was just great.
| lol chapter 1 . 11/2/2012
LOL. Clark? Oh him. The juvenile delinquent. LOL
| Trscroggs chapter 1 . 3/23/2012
An excellent little one-shot. I don't know how any super-hero manages to maintain a secret identity in this day and age.
| Vilya chapter 1 . 11/17/2011
Yip, never could believe that everyone was as galacticly stupid as some people...
| Yabbit chapter 1 . 11/8/2011
sounds about right
| tenchifew chapter 1 . 9/14/2011
Nice little oneshot.
I laughed out loud reading it.
| addicted2text chapter 1 . 6/16/2010
I would have rather have added Veritas to my collection than this one (although it IS a nice little drabble) but this is all that is available on this site. I have added you to my Author alerts and to my favorite authors, so hopefully if you ever take another dip in the well I'll be able to find it quickly. Please don't ever stop writing!
| Sayoko Bizen chapter 1 . 3/28/2010
Perfectly plausible. LoL. Smallville folks saw Clark growing up and they've been around him forever. That and people from the country are really just more observant. You need powers of observation to farm well, after all. Great fic. I hope you write about Smallville again. This was really nice.
PS: Your first line was there twice. :( Have a nice day!
| VILYA74 chapter 1 . 9/6/2009
Now this I liked!
| Lara-Van chapter 1 . 7/7/2008
Ha ha ha.
I have lived in a small town for most of my life (unfortunately), and this is SO true. Everyone knows everything about everyone else... and where I come from is SMALLER than smallville. Makes investigative journalism simultaneously very easy and very, very difficult. I mean, it's hard to write a piece accusing the administrator of public works of delaying work on a dangerous road construction site because it put money in his pocket...
but I sure as hell did that.
Undying loyalty between friends and neighbors is a bonus, though. You have a secret you don't want people to know, somehow they always do, but they won't tell anybody unless you tell them to tell, which then...
oh forget it it's so confusing.
| Aswen chapter 1 . 5/11/2008
I like this, very funny!
| RyanKathrynCelia chapter 1 . 5/2/2008
I love it - such a nice little one shot.
I like the concept behind it as well, when I read the summery I was reminded of the scene in Spiderman II on the train when everyone sees who he is, but all swear not to tell?
Thanks for sharing this,
| Kate56 chapter 1 . 4/25/2008
This is so true in a small town. Wonderful story.
