very sad to see this story has not been updated in so long. following just in case the author ever decides to come back to it. this story has the potential to become one of my favorite fanfictions.

A shame this story was never finished, the plot is interesting and the writing is nice.

Good for Harry. Never argument Dursley’s didn’t abuse him, since “no proof” of physical abuse. Emotional scars run deep.

It's a brilliant fic. It's sad that it hasn't been updated in 11 years. It's truly a shame that fic goes incomplete. I really like where this is going...

The whole Mother’s sacrifice is entirely true and makes perfect sense actually. All you have to do is do maybe a handful of “dark” rituals use some runes. Sacrifice your magic, life and soul and Bam you have a extremely powerful protection. Not to mention magic is all about Intent if you’ve forgotten. So with her Intent of sacrificing every little bit of herself whatever ritual she preformed or prepared before in the case it’s ever needed, it makes perfect sense it works out the way it did.

Not to mention Lily as stated several times was a absolute Genius and supposedly created several things before her death. Not only that in FanFiction at the very least maybe even canon Lily was a “Unspeakable” essentially meaning she had access to extremely ancient, obscure or dark rituals, spells amongst other things.

So all in all if in this particular case all the above was true, then it’s not far stretched for the whole Mother’s loving sacrifice to work out.

All it means it you were just looking at the plain literal words and wasn’t ever bothering to look at the underlying details or hidden facts. Story’s absolutely never tell you the details straight of in your face unless it’s absolutely needed. Since it’s always up to the readers discretion and interpretation of the tidbits of details they are given, to decide what it means. Otherwise it wouldn’t truly be a story.

Anyways that’s all just felt like responding to that little thing.

Damn I loved the story and your creepy!Harry. Am I 11 years too late to this fic? Yes. Is the chance of anyone even reading the review pretty much nonexistant? Probably. Still a really good piece, I I love the execution, you avoided most of the more cliche problems the smart!Harry genre often brings and I really wish this wasn't discontiniued…

Regardless of what canon advocates argue, Dursley's abused Harry. You have given him outlets to approach the problems. Both his parents were brilliant so he has the genetic make up.

Especially because his threat is so subtle of an implication that nobody else would have thought it hinted at him being behind anything... at least bot without a penisiev. And even then, it's a mere small suspicion, requiering a mind similar to Snapes to be caught.

dumbledore really shot himself in the foot, didn't he? If I were in Harry's shoes, I'd side with the enemy of dumbledore and aim to destroy his entire life after pulling that shit. Death is too good for him.

I'm really looking forward to see what Harry does tho. I keep my fingers crossed he goes dark, at the very least.

I'm surprised he hasn't found the library section on the occult yet.
All magic is fundementaly fuled by emotions... numerous of the most popular and commonly found in library books such as Satanic Rituals by LaVey (yeah...there are books by him in almost every library I've visited, which is many) and various occult books of the more whitchy folkmagic sort (and angels and to variating degrees demons) is also very common.

And that is without mentioning the ever popular Necronomicon. (Based on Lovecrafts work, published as if it's the real deal, filled with lots of dark, powerful rituals.)

Any wizard visiting the local library too much will either become a trelawny-esque angel lover, or a Dark wizard in no time. XD
