| HPslashaddict chapter 7 . 11/5/2013
In one chapter you covered 3 weeks, but you are afraid it is a slow story... ok, maybe I'm just very slow myself, but still think you have no reason to worry there.
About Ron, yes, you are bashing him good, meaning he comes across as an unbearable brat. But it is very understandable that he would be overwhelmed with jealousy. I'd have no diffuculty in his jealousy stemming from a sense of inadequacy. He may even be afraid that Harry will forsake him now that, on top of his wealth, he is starting to take advantage of his notoriety.
I'm more surprised at Harry's aloof attitude towards his friends, actually. They should definitely try harder to understand his for who he is/has become instead of being so self-centerd about HIS situation. But what's this deadline by whitch he expects to fall out with them ?! He might have to sift through numerous suitors and come to a decision in a short time. But friendship takes an effort from both parties. Why is he weighing their worthiness, or worse, waiting for them to slip and damn themselves before his eyes, without trying at least once to make them understand his perspective ?
I love the format leaflet/reaction, and re-reread trice the scene of Harry's "dialogue" with the beautiful eagle. And more generally appreciate you humor very much.
| HPslashaddict chapter 6 . 11/5/2013
I just begun this novel (33 chapters ! that's in itself quite promising to me) and I'm already falling in love with it. It seems that the characters are well balanced, have clearly some depth to them, certainly more than their cinematographic counterparts, and the concept you develop sounds very intriguing. Now, about your A/N:
1) I was VERY afraid of what you were going to do to Harry as soon as I read "half-Veela", but your veelas are so much more interesting then what I expected. So I'm thouroughly enjoying your spin.
2) Tutor : curiouser and curiouser !
3) On the subject of Albus, I've mainly read two takes on this character so far : all-knowing, kind old man Vs. manipulating control freak. I can't wait to read how your Albus turn out, but from your note I feel I can hope for something more life-like.
5) "constitutionally incapable of writing action" What are you talking about !? You begun with a gutting ! LOL
You write of numerous characters interacting among themselves and their environment. To me that's action too. Moreover, I guess the stage needs to be set before the "action" can quicken... So, personally I don't feel this story lacking action. Don't you worry. Besides, a story revolving around Harry's courtship(s) should suggest to any prospective reader that there would be some serious character construction rather than a never-ending series of wand-drawing battles.
Above all, thank you so much for sharing !

You are amazing. Thank you for writing such a wonderful tale.
| LurkerAlert chapter 33 . 10/24/2013
This was a lovely story and so different than the rest where Harry is left with no choice. I really enjoyed the build-up and the pace. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
PS. You should mark the story "Complete" as I almost didn't read it for fear of it being a WIP. ;)
| V.P.H chapter 33 . 10/14/2013
I'm certain that this is my Favourite Harry Potter fanfiction to date. And to date is really around 8 years of reading harry potter fanfiction, particularly all the creature fics I can get my greedy little hands on. Anyway, thank you for this magnificent read and all the work you put into it!
| Aureleis chapter 33 . 10/13/2013
Beautifully planned out and nicely written. This is a unique story in that Harry is not the savior of Wizarding Britain... props for that! Well done.
| Kitty Savella chapter 33 . 10/9/2013

| madyashiefan chapter 6 . 9/22/2013
I'm really loving this. Especially the difference in Veelas. Quick note: no such thing as Irish blend tea... Just something we use to con more money out of Americans/other foreigners ;)

I read through this story basically in one go. I like your flowing writing style and your way of dissecting and analysing any and all characters featured. It made for some awesome in-depth understanding of the story. Also, not only focussing on the creature/mating part was kind of refreshing. Most of the creature-fics on this website don't much care for a deeper storyline and some even ignore Voldemorts machinations and/or the war altogether, in favor of concentrating on how in love the two main characters are. So, that was great. However, I do have one single thing to complain about... While you did not ignore the losses of the muggle population altogether and also let some of your characts, namely Hermione and her Unspeakables, kind of mourn for them, their plights were still very easily cast aside. Especially once the new King was crowned. As it was mentioned that the status of secrecy didn't even really exist anymore in Britain (now Avalon, i guess) I expected Victor to unite the remaining survivors and victors under his rule. His new unplottable land would have been the perfect environment for a civilisation of people unhindered by their differences, namely their ability to do or not do magic. It made me a little sad that muggles weren't even mentioned anymore once Voldemort was destroyed. You described their losses so devastatingly, I guess it would have just relieved me a bit - since its just so easy to get involved with this complex story, I cared for them. Well, I figure my review proves just how touching your writing is. Take care.

I honestly can't think of what to tell you about how I feeling in regards to this story. First I want to commend you on how beautiful your writing is. It flows and twists and turns like some kind of dance that I just can't keep my eyes off of. I only skim through most authors notes, I find that it can sometimes take away from the story itself... but I did manage to get that you said you weren't happy with this chapter. Please do not change anything about it. I ask this only because although there are loose ends, there always will be but the important bits are together and that's what matters.
Thank you for sharing this,
P.S. You may wish to change the status to complete... you would get more readers this way as most are not willing to read something that is this long and that hasn't been updated in so many years unless completed.

I love this story!
| theturtlemonster chapter 33 . 8/14/2013
Wow. This story is amazing - definitely one of the best on fanfiction - and I'm honestly awed you wrote it. It's so well written and complex and I truly loved and enjoyed reading it.
I do have one really random question, that you probably have already answered somewhere and I somehow missed it/ its really obvious. It was in chapter 32 when Luna was surveying who would die, she said 'The last one she would rescue and hide and he would become a revered teacher. It was only he that would once again teach at this school once the King came.' Who was that?
Sorry if I annoyed you! Again, loved the story and I'm really glad you wrote it!
| leylinjan chapter 9 . 8/14/2013
ohh I just had to read this story again (it's probably my sixth or so time already ) and I still have to laugh sometimes when I read your words...
"... he might almost feel guilty should Draco be eliminated from the suitors.
ohh thanks so much for having written this wonderful story! It really is my favourite by far, only followed by the Life Cycle Trilogy...
