Well that was an enjoyable ride. I really liked the glimpses of Jack's antics through history and the sheer amount of research that shines through. And I'm glad James got to come back! He and Jack having to put up with each other and becoming friends is so precious. Also, I will forever cherish the mental image of modern James loving M&M's.

And that's my favorite chapter.

I just discovered this fanfiction and let me say it's been a pleasure reading so far. My favorite part is your historical notes, stories are much more enjoyable when there's an ounce of truth to them. Also when I read the chapter on Mark Twain, I had to chuckle because most people don't know that Mark Twain was a reporter under his birth name of Samuel Clemens. Also "Mark Twain" is an unit of measurement back then. Keep up the good work.

That was very amusing. The last two lines made me laugh. I love the way you write Jack in each of these. There are subtle differences as he gets older, but he still remains the same. I love it :D
