Nightcrawler X chapter 1 . 9/5 This is disgusting. |
eneath chapter 1 . 7/1 Holy shit this was intense! Wow! |
Guest chapter 1 . 5/11 Nasty |
rebecca-in-blue chapter 1 . 3/24 Wow, what a dark, interesting AU take on the series. The tense atmosphere and mystery over how exactly this Sorting was going to go made it very suspenseful to read. It was so interesting to see how certain things had changed greatly from canon while other things are still the same. Now Ron is the know-it-all, Hermione is the one asking questions, Draco is Neville but with even more anxiety, and Harry represents the reader in that he doesn't fully understand this "weird new world." So many feels for this new version of Draco and the fate he suffers, although I like how you also give him traces of his canon personality in his occasional sneers and bitterness. So much concern over what will become of Harry in this universe. It reminds me in a good way of Shirley Jackson's The Lottery. I'll be recommending this at my forum. |
Lady Rosalune chapter 1 . 11/16/2023 Awesome! Really neat idea. Very creepy |
ElfLover chapter 1 . 8/26/2023 Oh man what a scary one shot. You should make a longer story out of this, so many questions. Like is Voldemort really dead or does he still have his anchors? How did Britain get so bad? How did Albus no longer have as much influence? How will a more confident ron make a difference to the story? It is interesting how the children of dark families are hated and prejudiced against instead of muggleborns. It would be really interesting to see how the Golden trio will adapt to this harsher world you wrote. |
A Talking Cat chapter 1 . 1/27/2023 I love this and want to see more |
jiggyjester chapter 1 . 1/27/2023 edit: I stand corrected. You don't just draw a fantastic line further down, you do draw a stark picture of a society that never allowed itself to grieve and therefore recognize that they were at risk of hitting several of the same fascistic notes of the evil they (correctly) squashed. After all, if they abuse the children of those that were punished, how far are they from those that hunted down and killed powerless and ignorant children and families for funsies? |
jiggyjester chapter 1 . 1/27/2023 while I agree this is the correct *attitude* to have taken after the first war (kill the enemy and salt the earth to make sure their fascist ideologies never rise, distribute their estates as reparations to the victims of their ideologies, striking Slytherin from the recognized houses, etc), you draw a fantastic line further down the graph. While I don't know that the hat can't be trained to remove slytherin from the selection process, it is fascinating to see it keep trying to push for the return of what it considers a valued part of the institution. |
The Sky At Midnight chapter 1 . 10/7/2022 oh, dark, disturbing and plausible. This could have been the situation if things had gone worse. I loved how you've built up the atmosphere, the terror, and uncertainty is palpable throught the writing. And that last line - shooketh. Beautiful work! Thanks for this interesting fic! |
Rose chapter 1 . 1/31/2022 THIS IS THE MOST DIGUSTING STORY I EVER READ A AUROR THROWING A 11 YEAR OLD FOR BEING SORTED INTO SLYTHERIN CHILD ABUSE,THREATING A CHILD BADLY FOR THEIR FATHER SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR WRITING THIS STORY |
The Majestic Dophin chapter 1 . 11/17/2021 oh this is so much more fun and interesting than the actual sorting! Well done, I love it! |
Yuna Nightshade chapter 1 . 10/26/2021 Well, shit, this is deep. Especially, because the end didn't reveal where Harry was sorted into. I'd really love to read an entire fanfic with his premise |
Li-Ion78 chapter 1 . 8/30/2021 reminds me of that fic where people declare their allegiance to one side of magic once they reach their majority. it also shows that whatever side you choose, there are always extremes to one side, even if the people are thinking that theyre doing the right thing. this is an example of that, prejudice to the extreme and the erasure of an ideology because they thought it was detrimental. its sad, horrifying and petrifying at the same time. i cant even imagine if that happens in real life, the horror |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/18/2021 Heil Godric. |
