Heh, the first thing i said wen i read the first sections of this was, if it was continued, Malfoy would be a potentially good friend/accomplice. He has that whole, sidekicky look.

I don't really think I can blame McGonagall for silencing the Sorting Hat song.

Wow. Despite it's complete lack of violence and torture, one of the more disturbing one-shots I've read.

For a one-shot, you certainly took care to provide a very vivid picture of the how the world has turned out. Rather like a Philip K. Dick story, in that the world painted is vivid enough to create a feel for it, without delving into narrative voice to bring the reader up to speed.

That was terrific! Definitely the best take on the sorting I've ever seen. The look into a dark wizarding world where Voldemort is not around was very intriguing, wouldn't be opposed to some more material in this universe.
