This was a well-written story.
I haven't read 'The Snow Queen' in years, or have once read the full version of the tale. You did the tale of the Snow Queen justice. Merely reading the story allowed me to view the events from the Snow Queen's perspective, which was what was meant to happen in this story.

Wow! This is really good! You did an awesome job characterizing the Snow Queen, so cold and no one can change her, but she's not really entirely inhuman either. And the children were great. Even though it didn't really focus on them, I could still really get the picture of what they were like, so bright and warm. Very nice oneshot.
