OOH. This was so beautiful and poignant. You managed to keep this as close to the books as you could but show Gils POV. He was so in love with Anne and he was her ideal match. It just took her 4 years and a night with her book of revelation to figure it out. Ah! But I do like this and I think it would be nice if you did one from Gil POV from the second proposal. I would love to see his reaction from that. :)

Oh, my! I love your take on the first proposal. When I was reading it, I always felt like shaking Anne and telling her - don't be so stupid!

The last line was genius. The story was beautiful but harsh and ugly at the same time. I really enjoyed reading it. It's interesting because this scene is one of the few where I'm not quite on Anne's side.
